Xcellent Hair Square

Made an appointment for hair wash and cut with Wynn. Confirmed on my arrival my appointment with Wynn. Get a great hair wash by one stylist. Another stylist starts drying my hair, which I assumed was to help out my stylist, Wynn. 20 minutes later he confirms what type of cut I wanted, and starts cutting. I’m too non confrontational to say anything and by the time this stylist (Leo) confirms with me the 4 finger widths of hair to remove the appointment was too far in. Wynn already had a line of people waiting. 4 finger widths of hair to cut turned into 8+ with choppy edges and layers one hour later. My typical 35$ cut was 55$ with this new stylist. Mustered the courage to call the front desk girl after I left the salon. Her excuse was "sorry. I had it written in the book for it to be with Wynn". Zero accountability Client of 10+ years. Me nor my family will be coming back. Edit to add photo. Still fuming. Hand for reference length of hair before cut. This is what Leo thinks is "get rid of the ends and cut off four finger widths" wish I opened my mouth in the store. But I was only able to smile and run!!!!!

SCAMMER ALERT!! BUYER BEWARE before going to this salon! They want your money but don’t care to make you happy. They don’t have any manners or proper etiquette. I honestly think Kevin’s hair assistants do not have their licenses. They should be held accountable. They have NO idea what they are doing. And yet we just sit to them blindly even though I made an appointment with Kevin specifically. Kevin didn’t do my hair, 3 random employees who don’t speak English did my hair. They did not introduce themselves, they just started working on my hair! I spoke with Kevin beforehand several times, I showed him this picture that I wanted and if he can do it. He said he CAN do it. Instead I ended up with what was NOTHING like the photo. My hair is burnt and damaged and you can clearly see it’s nothing like what I wanted!! I was soooo disappointed beyond disbelief. I asked for a discount to make matters a little better. Kevin wouldn’t budge. He didn’t care that I was sooo upset with the end result. They want your money that you’re forced to pay even though it’s nothing like they promised. I could have spent that amount on a salon with proper manners, etiquette, and customer service who will gladly do what they can to make matters right and give you what you wanted. This salon and its employees need to be honest and upfront about what they can deliver. Stop making false promises! If you had told me you can’t give me what I wanted, I would have happily walked out. I paid $350 for this service omg

I had an amazing experience at this salon. I spend the morning at another salon where I was originally supposed to dye my hair, but ended up having to do a strand test to see how the color would lift. The colorist proceeded to recommend me to xcellent hair square, since she just spent my entire appointment doing the strand test, she could no longer color me that day. I took a chance and called them up to see if they had anything open and they made time for me within the hour. I spent the entire day there from 12:30 to 6:30 PM. They were so meticulous and precise about everything they did starting from my cut to my color to even styling my hair. They took every part seriously and made me feel prioritized. They explained everything to me regarding my hair and didn’t leave me feeling like they were just doing whatever they wanted to my hair. They even loaned me a charger when I needed to borrow one. It was a wonderful experience overall, and I would definitely be going back again. I showed them my inspiration pictures and they nailed it exactly to what I wanted. Highly recommend.

Leo did my hair today and I am admittedly very picky, nervous and reluctant about getting my hair cut. But he talked over everything with me before he cut to make sure it was okay and was very honest about my hair and what would be best. I really appreciated how patient he was and he did such a beautiful job!! My hair looks and feels so much healthier. I will be returning for color soon with Leo and future haircuts! Thank you!

I wish i could have a negative 0 rating .purchased a $4.99 product and trusted the lady at the register with the color suggestions. I opened to try it, and it's completely different. Ran right back to the store to exchange it for one that cost $12.99, and they refused. The manager explains that based on my nationality, my hair is different, so the color is different. He clearly said that because I'm not Asian and my hair is curly, it doesn't look the same. Very racist and unprofessional. When they first opened their service was good but now it's trash.

i have been to Xcellent a year ago and loved my hair. My only problem was that it was far away and a little pricy. I found a salon near my house that obliterated my hair on a Wednesday. My hair was yellow with patches of green, harsh lines, botched job, and everything was a complete disaster. (before and after photos are posted) The only thing on my mind was, "i should've never cheated on Kevin!" I was able to get an appointment on Friday (I had work on Thursday). I walked in and when Kevin sat me down his eyes wide opened because of how shocked he was at what he was looking at. My hair was a hot mess. Kevin consulted with me about the work that needed to get done. I completely understand his reasoning behind all the work that was required. I needed to bleach my entire head in order to get it to one color, then he'll be able to get it to the color I desired. The stylist I had kept checking in with me to make sure I was doing alright. I was just disgusted by what the previous salon did to me lol. I appreciated his concern! When all the work was done and Kevin revealed the final look to me, it took everything in me not to tear up. I am so thankful. He's truly a The Hair Doctor. I am never cheating on him ever again. Thank you so much Kevin and your team for treating me so well. I love my hair so much. I would also like to mention that my hair feels really good. Thank you, thank you so much!!! ❤️

**Extreme Curly Hair Beware** Trying to save any curly-haired girlie from this place. Came in for a pink, the color was turning out purple, so I told them. They put in a darker color after showing them what I wanted. Color came out red. Told there was damage. Forecefully got a Keratin. Keratin was placed, then washed out in 15 minutes. Practically had no choice because I was scared to death. Overall: Traumatized. Hair damaged, color retoned back to original balyage color. Keratin didn't work, still curly and damaged. I paid $580. Please avoid this place if you do not have straight hair. First pic: Hair I came in with. Second pic: Hair color I asked for. I also didn't want my whole head to be pink. They did not listen. Third pic: Hair color I got. Practically cried. Was offerred a re-tone. I went back two days later. Fourth pic: Hair after my own wash, after the tone down. String, damaged, curly. No keratin affect.
