Stay as far away from this place as humanly possible if you care about your hair. I’ve been coming here to Ellen and Yaffa for the past 6 years because it’s close to where I live but this time was my last straw. I always go in asking for something else and leave with something else entirely; I have no idea why I keep going back. If I speak up and say that’s not what I asked for, I get gaslighted by the staff here. I went in with thick healthy hair down to my butt and asked for some length off and LONG layers. I know the stylists here get confused so I went in with a CLEAR picture of what I want. I came out with a mullet. Ellen took her scissors and removed 90% of the density of my hair when I told her I want light layers because I want to preserve the thickness of my hair. She took my bangs as a guide and took HUGE sections all around my head and cut it to that length. All while saying she’s doing a great job and this is what she does for a living. The way my hair is cut it looks like I went to a Supercuts meanwhile I paid $80+ for my hair to look like someone took a lawnmower to it. Now I’m left with a mess on my head that I can barely even tie up for the foreseeable future. I didn’t want to attach pictures but I want to warn anyone that might want to come here to stay FAR FAR away. This is NOT how you cut layers.

Thanks to Nicole for the great job. You’re an excellent hairstylist and very professional. Also thanks to Ellen who helped us and took our concern with courtesy. More power and God bless 🙏

Came in early for appointment got a few inches cut off and Lori Ann cut exactly like the picture I showed her and gave a great blowout all for a very affordable price. 10/10 recommend.

I love this salon. Been a customer for years and years and will only go here for my hair color and cut. Yaffa is the best and I always have a great time. The hair washing / massage is top notch as well.

Sorry to say this is the worst haircut I have ever received that hadn’t been done at home. I have an outgrown bob and wanted a bit more shape to let it grow out nicely, and now I have been left with no choice but to chop it off to chin length (again). I asked for layers and showed a picture of soft layers with light face framing. What happened was my hairdresser instead took a giant section of hair in the front and chopped it off as a "guide" (so not face framing, just a fat disconnected section of chin-length hair from my normally past-the-shoulders hair). The "soft" layers in question instead look like a staircase, and the length of hair that I specifically said I wanted to keep now looks like a rat tail. I can understand if some miscommunication happened by me simply saying I wanted layers…but I showed a photo, and if anything was unclear to the hairdresser, I should have been asked more clarifying questions. This is extremely disappointing and I regret putting my trust in someone who I assume knows what they’re doing. I can’t sit and nitpick and inform myself of every step of the process while my hair is being cut (to gauge whether or not it is being done to my liking), because I don’t know the process myself. Beyond disappointing. I don’t feel like myself. I was so excited to grow my hair out, waited months, and now I can’t.

I’ve been coming here for over 20 years. Yaffa (the owner of the salon) always makes you feel welcome and is the only person who I found knows how to cut curly hair. I moved from NY to AZ and I still come to style glam salon when I visit family in NY every few months, because it’s worth it! Prices are very reasonable, the environment is friendly and fun, and the salon is kept clean! She will always be my hair stylist!

I went here today to cut my hair and Nicole is the one that did my hair. She washed my hair and gave me a nice head massage. She asked me how short I want my hair and I’m not going to lie she did my hair really good. I got layers with curtain bang and she made me look fabulous. When you go there ask for her. I highly recommend her. She’s the sweetest. She also gave me a nice and soothing blowout. I love her. Thank you Nicole for this lovely haircut.❤️
