It's been a week since Leslie cut my hair and I'm still absolutely obsessed with the results! I feel like a fresher, better version of myself and I can't recommend her enough. It was such a great experience and worth every penny!

Leslie was beyond wonderful! I was looking for an opening last minute & stumbled upon the Hair collective. I was able to get an appointment and I'm so glad I did! I will absolutely come back for all my future touch-ups and Haircuts. Couldn't recommend more 🙂

You get what you pay for. Or as my Dad recently pointed out to me, you often pay for more than you receive. However, Leslie delivers value much greater than the cost, so while you can pay less you will most assuredly not receive better results. Leslie is an incredibly skilled and talented hair stylist. She is adept at applying her storied experience to all kinds of hair types, head shapes, and the many individual needs each human brings to her chair. She is a wonderfully creative artist, and her decision to express that vision professionally through the medium of hair is a gift to all those who appreciate truly individualized hair style. The results are amazing. I had the luck to meet Leslie through a happenstance, walk-in appointment more years ago than either of us likely want to admit. She has been my go-to person for all things hair ever since, and I have never been disappointed. In that time we have formed an incredible bond of trust and she now has free reign on my head. I happily provide her a canvas on which to play. We have had a lot of fun adventures in shape, color, and carving, all receiving compliments across my many walks of life. Leslie is also a brilliant communicator. Through active listening she is adept at hearing people's requests, and helping those less certain to discover what they truly want in a hair style. Her natural teaching instincts allow her to clearly explain the how's and why's of any given style, the details of the technique it will require to implement, the challenges one's unique hair and head may pose in that process, and solutions or alternative approaches to those challenges. In the years I've known Leslie I have seen only happy clients and beautiful hairstyles, even from those who bring her challenging mistakes made by less gifted stylists. Additionally, Leslie's prowess as a colorist cannot be overstated. Her knowledge of evolving product and procedure, natural understanding of color (especially as it interacts with varied types of hair), and artistic eye all lend to a unique expertise. I have seen her produce colors from superbly subtle to wildly exciting, all of them amazing, and some of them on my own head. She blows my mind regularly. The overall experience in her new, self-created studio space is top notch. Leslie brings the same care and dedication I've known her for to all aspects of this venture. You will be comfortably pampered, and welcomed as a dear friend, be this your hundredth visit or your first. As Leslie is the only person I allow to cut my hairs, I cannot speak directly to any of her partners in this space. And I can confirm that Leslie brings the same thoughtful concern and consideration to those she works with that she does to every client. So I am positive they are all amazing people, and amazing stylists. If you managed to read this entire missive, I thank you for your time. I hope I have inspired you to invest in the best possible hair experience you could hope to enjoy. For the record, all of this remains true even a year or more after writing this initially. I saw Leslie for the first time recently and I could not be more thrilled! I have been getting my hair cut at chain places for years, and never been really happy or unhappy, just meh. Leslie listened to what I wanted even though I didn't know what that was exactly, and gave me the perfect haircut. Something different from my usual that looks super cute and trendy while still being me. I've already has tons of compliments! She's got a great vibe and the appointment was super fun!

I just got my first haircut from Leslie! It took me 3 years to find someone new after my last regular stylist retired, and I am so happy I found Leslie. My hair looks great, she took her time to make sure it was what I wanted and that she really understood my hair and my styling preferences (or lack thereof haha, I’m a low-maintenance person when it comes to hair). I can’t wait to come back!

I have been seeing Leslie for years and she does a beautiful job cutting and styling my hair every time! She has always been so warm and welcoming. Leslie is also very knowledgeable about the products she uses and works very hard to make sure they are clean and environmentally friendly. She has saved my hair annually from 11 years of pool damage when I worked at a local pool until I got my first "proper adult job". Her styling work when I attended prom was stellar! When I saw Leslie for a back-to-school refresh as a teacher 2 weeks ago, she continues to do fabulous work! I walked out feeling beautiful, confident, and ready to start the school year looking my best! Thank you, Leslie for all that you do and all of your hard work!
