I’ve always admired Station Salon from the outside it’s so cute, inviting, and full of good energy and I finally decided to go in. From the moment I walked through the door, I felt calm. The space is warm, stylish, and beautifully curated, with art on the walls, friendly faces, and soft music that immediately puts you at ease. They even have a fun stylist-matching quiz on their website, which is how I found Alex Alvarado and I’m so grateful I did. I desperately needed a refresh. My hair had been feeling dull and dry, and honestly, so I was feeling a bit down about my hair. I asked for a trim, a hydrating treatment, and a simple blowout and what I received was so much more than a haircut. Alex is one of the kindest, most gentle souls I’ve ever met in a salon. She listened with care, asked thoughtful questions, and treated my hair and me with such intention. Every movement was precise, mindful, and respectful. I could instantly feel that she takes pride in her craft and genuinely cares about her clients’ comfort. During the wash and hydrating treatment, she was so soft and nurturing it almost felt therapeutic. When she trimmed my hair, she was detail-oriented but never rushed. And the blow-dry oh my Absolutely perfect. Not once did she tug too hard or overheat my scalp things that, unfortunately, happen too often at other salons. She handled my hair as if it were something precious, and that meant so much to me, especially at a time when I’ve been feeling sensitive and in need of gentleness. By the end, my hair looked and felt completely renewed healthy, bouncy, and full of life. More importantly, I left feeling peaceful and seen. Alex created such a safe, calm space that I didn’t even realize how much I needed. The entire team at Station Salon is lovely friendly, professional, and down-to-earth. The salon itself is spotless, beautifully designed, and even has designated parking, which is a huge plus in Encinitas. I had been seeing another stylist for years, but she’s farther away, and I’ve been looking for someone local I could trust. Finding Alex feels like finding gold. She’s a gem gentle, talented, intuitive, and genuinely caring. Thank you, Alex, for your kindness, your patience, and your skill. You have no idea how much you lifted my spirit today. I’m so happy with my cut, my blowout, and my treatment but most of all, I’m grateful for how you made me feel. I’ll absolutely be back and will recommend you to everyone I know. 🩷

I had a truly wonderful time at Station Salon. My stylist was Mia, she was phenomenal. Amazing consultation, and a more amazing outcome! The other staff were just as awesome. I was in for a long session, was offered beverages and snacks if needed. The vibes were great, the music was great. I am going back on Saturday so my boyfriend can get a cut and style as well. @ Leslie - this was the BEST haircut appointment I’ve had in a loooong time (or really ever)!!! I’ve never gone back to the same hairstylist/ salon before because I’ve never been happy with the results and always felt overcharged because I have long hair but I’m already looking forward to my next appointment with Leslie! She took her time cutting and layering my hair exactly how I wanted. I love how she dry cut my hair first, did my gloss, and then further cut and trimmed my hair. Definitely recommend this salon and Leslie as your hair stylist!! 🙂

Jillian was lovely!!! She was personable, funny and efficient. I have thick unruly hair that I dread cutting and she cut and styled it faster than anyone before (in 30 mins.!) It looks so healthy and shiny. Thank you for the wonderful salon experience, look forward to coming back.

Not only did she deliver exactly the hair transformation I was hoping for, but her compassion and kindness truly exceeded my expectations. I first discovered the salon while shopping nearby and decided to pop in and ask if anyone was available for a consultation. I had recently gone full blonde at another salon and was looking for something more lived-in and low-maintenance. Mia took the time to listen, offered her expert opinion, and clearly explained the pricing, which I really appreciated. When I returned for my appointment, I was having a particularly rough and emotional morning. Mia’s warmth, patience, and genuine care immediately put me at ease. The end result? The perfect look I had envisioned—natural, effortless, and beautiful. Not only does Mia care deeply for her craft, but also for the customers she serves. Highly recommend!

Leslie is so confident when it comes to doing hair! From the moment I walked in, she warmly welcomed me and provided great advice when it came to my damaged hair. She made me feel so comfortable, met my needs, and left me feeling more confident and so happy with my results. She definitely brought my hair back to life! I will definitely be back!
