My first time at H2O was a great experience! My hairstylist was Thony Pacheco & he was so gentle with my hair & the hair washing was relaxing. The star of the show was the hair results! 10/10 Recommend him & H20!

I can’t say enough about H20 Salon and Spa… Phenomenal artists and professionals, combined with a truly welcoming and affirming environment. I went in for a consultation because I had no idea what I wanted to do. I was disgusted with my hair and needed help! Eddie met with me and helped me come up with a plan and scheduled me for the next day. I did the works - trim, style, and all the colors!! It was a long visit, but multiple employees helped throughout the process. You can tell that people love working there and respect each other. I found my forever salon and a new family.

I’ve been getting my hair with Sonia ever since she became a hairstylist! I’ve known her since her gym era and I trust her so much with my hair. She explains everything throughly and makes sure to get what you want. She loves doing what she does as you can see here below a picture of my hair!

From the moment I walked in, the environment was diverse, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Everyone was friendly and made me feel comfortable right away. What really stood out to me was the attention to detail before my appointment even started. I was asked ahead of time about my nail inspo, which I absolutely loved—it showed care, preparation, and intention. And let me tell you… what I asked for versus what I got was extravagant in the best way possible. The execution exceeded my expectations. Maria was AMAZING. Talented, professional, and so easy to vibe with. She really listened and then took it to another level. I left feeling confident, polished, and already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend H2O Hair Salon & Spa if you’re in Durham and looking for quality, creativity, and a great overall experience. I’ll definitely be back!

I just started working with Sonia and I couldn’t be happier. She is super sweet and kind. I always have a great time when I’m in her chair. She is super attentive and focused on taking care of me and my hair. We’ve been focusing on maintenance and giving my hair time to recover from its last dye job. She gave me some product recommendations that I truly feel have been game changers. She is truly amazing and I am looking forward to continuing to work with her.

EDIT: I originally gave 1 star for a bad experience but a good atmosphere/good price. I have updated to 3 stars because H2O promptly refunded me for the bad service after seeing this review. Despite my disappointing experience, I feel this is great customer service. I don't think I'll use them (or at least this technician) for waxing again, but they do offer many other services I'll consider. I booked a full leg wax and bikini wax and honestly had a terrible experience. It honestly seemed like the esthetician didn't know what they were doing? Every pull involved multiple tiny rips, making it significantly more painful than necessary. I kept my hair long so they could trim to the proper length, but they instead just ripped out my 1-inch long leg hair. Clearly, most of my leg had hair broken instead of pulled out due to being too long and not adhering properly to the skin, as I don't have any smooth areas. Additionally, they left a 2 inch wide strip the entire length of my leg unwaxed, and left wax all over my legs that I had to pick off when I get home. They took longer than needed because they didn't know the proper techniques, then rushed at the end. This took 80 minutes. I'm all for new estheticians learning the trade, but feel it should be advertised. As I have thick body hair, I wouldn't have chosen a new technician, but I'm sure many would have to save some money. Just really disappointed.

I got a lash lift done here and it was a pretty bad experience. The esthetician didn’t seem to know what she was doing and it took a few tries to get the template glued down. I still don’t think it ever stuck correctly and so my lashes only had a slight curl which was disappointing She also hovered right next to my shoulder the entire time which was off putting. I could also see that she used a single use kit and she left the instructions out on the table which further proves she hasn’t done a lot of these Price is pretty low compared to other lash lifts around town so I guess you get what you pay for. I will not be going back for another lash lift
