The Beauty Room #dothan

I have been using the Beauty Room for years. The environment is always a welcoming one. Kacy cuts and colors my hair. I always leave there feeling better about myself with my new color and cut. All of the ladies in the Salon are kind and treat you like a friend instead of a client. Love, love, love this place

I can't speak enough about this space. The stylist are welcoming and very talented. They listen to their clients and make hair dreams come true. The environment is clean and relaxing. Getting my hair cut and colored by Aimee is always a wonderful experience. Highly recommend The Beauty Room.

Aimee is seriously the bee’s knees! I don’t trust anyone else with my hair other than her, and I leave very satisfied after every appointment I have with her! She always gets my vision and makes it come alive. I love her work! She makes me feel so pretty and she’s also just one of the kindest people ever. Her skillset is extensive and anyone would be lucky to know her or have their hair done by her!

At first, super nice staff. the hairdresser Amy assured me that if i didn’t like how my highlights turned out (because i leave with my hair wet), i could come back and get it fixed. i had a small issue about my highlights, and they dropped me as a client. They DO NOT BACK UP THEIR WORK. the owner will post a defensive reply to negative complaints posted or otherwise. So, in reality, they are disingenuous people! Go there if you want to be lied to.

I made an appointment for a balayage and hair trim a week prior to my appointment. I verified my appointment twice on the morning of the day I had my appointment with the salon. I arrived to my 1:20 appointment with Sara Emily at 1:03pm. Sara was nice and quickly got my color and placed it in my hair and then left for 10 minutes. Then Sara Emily abruptly came over and asked me to go sit in chairs away from her salon seat. She then proceeded to start another woman’s hair color treatment that was very intricate involving highlights bleaching and foil treatments. Sara Emily left me sitting in the chair from 1:27 until 2:55 without once checking on my hair. My scalp began to burn from the chemicals. No one else came to check on me . As I was about to get up and go wash my hair by myself Sara Emily finally came and rinsed my hair. I voiced my concerns. Sara Emily said she didn’t know and then said she didn’t think my hair would be damaged. My hair felt dry as soon as it was rinsed. I left without even getting my hair brushed after it was rinsed. Sara Emily charged me $85 and never even apologized. ......As if that was not bad enough, Sara Emily called me the day after to harass me. She asked how my hair was. I began to tell her my hair felt dry and that I had to go somewhere else to get an amika nourishing hair mask treatment, but before I could even finish she began yelling over the phone so loud that my husband who was across the room heard it. The real reason Sara Emily called: She said she read my initial review and she didn't like it. She accused me of lying about the two confirmations- (I have photo evidence of them from the text messages). She wanted to argue about whether or not I got the balayage that I signed up for. (I made my appointment for one, but when I got there Sara Emily suggested we just add color to the roots this visit- which I agreed to. My point is to show that I arranged to have the time I needed to get my hair fixed properly.) She accused me of lying about everything. I was shocked. I told her I had a chemical burn on my scalp as evidence and my hair is now dry feeling. She just kept yelling that she did not damage my hair. I calmly explained that she wouldn't know of any damage because she never once even came to look at my hair while I sat there. She kept repeating the same thing- that she did not hurt my hair. She never once apologized for the chemical burn to my scalp, or for my hair, or for the inconvenience it caused me. She stated she charged me $85 because she deserved it and she didn't do anything to harm me. I hung up the phone.

The ladies at the Beauty Room always make me feel so beautiful! I love all them dearly! My hair has never looked so good and healthy!

I’ve gone here twice with Sarah Emily, and she has done my hair perfectly each time! I won’t go anywhere else. Bonus points for the salon dog!!
