It was one of the best barbershop encounters I've experienced. The folks were friendly, and the music was nice. To top it off, I was in and out of the shop within 40 minutes. I waited about 10-15 minutes after arriving, and once in the chair, I was on my way to my car about 20 minutes later. It was a great rate, too. I also liked that paying with cash was cheaper than paying with an app. I'll be back.

I paid for a deposit scheduled my appointment for 830 I'm currently still waiting for her to come to the shop. I can only speak for one stylist her name is Niko so if you plan a trip there don't pic her she is not punctual nor is she professional.

My kids got their hair done here. I didn't realize they don't do children's hair so if you needs your kids hair done definitely do not come here. Also, my oldest daughter needed her hair detangled and I was made to do it myself. I would have been more understandable if this wasn't a professional shop and was asked to come washed and blowed out but when I was on the phone I was told washing would be taken care of for me so I thought that would include detangling and blow drying, it definitely does not. Also, they do seem like cool people but the atmosphere is a bit weird you have people walking in trying to sell stuff they stole. The styles are cute just not professional to me for the money I am paying.

Yodi is that deal! Very professional stylist, I must say. She knows how to get you in the chair and out with the style you asked for and looking luxurious. They have a nice atmosphere, plenty of stylist, nail tech, and barber on deck.

I was able to get an early appointment to get my hair done before my event. I was also able to connect with old classmates. My experience was great. I've found my new hair salon.

Sonya always does a great job doing my sew-ins and taught me a thing or two! She is HILARIOUS!!! Yody is also a great stylist and did a great job as well! My mom and I been going here for YEARS. If you need a sew-in, drop by here, I am guaranteed you will walk out feeling FAB-U-LOUS!!! <3

I’ve been coming here for almost a decade now. I love Yodi and I respect her as a stylist and an individual. But I have to admit that there’s been times where I get extremely uncomfortable in the shop. I believe that for how long the shop has been there, there should definitely be upgrades and more clean at this point. I often find people who come after me being serviced before me. Sometimes it’s like you have to mention 20 times that you’re there and have been waiting. It’s often hard to find a stylist in Detroit, especially a good one. Yodi is an amazing stylist, but sometimes her stylists / booth renters make me not want to come in and get my hair done. I often wish her salon was just a spot for women, and the men could take their barbershop talk next door. There’s been times I would get my hair done and the men would comment on my decisions and make me uncomfortable. There’s been times where Yodi was nearly done with my hair, and I’d tell her I’d feel more comfortable finishing my hair at home myself. She’d be confused and ask me if I was sure, and I’d say yes. I never told her the reason I’d cut my appointment short was because of the men in the shop, but it was absolutely because of them. A salon is where as I come as a woman to relax and unwind. Some of the men can be nice, but it’s annoying to hear men complain or go on misogynistic rants about women while they’re getting their haircut or cutting hair. Again I loooooove Yodi’s work. I love the women there, but coming into the shop makes me drained and depressed from all of that toxic male energy. I would love to keep going to her, but I believe I’m going to have to find someone new soon.
