Revolver: A Salon ✂

The people here are very nice and the environment is good, but it is just not justifiable for the price. To start, I had my appointment moved up at the convenience of the stylist, only to have someone come in right after me that got a quick cut while I waited at the wash bowl for 20 mins. In terms of the haircut itself, I usually ask for face framing and long layers. This is usually very consistent among all stylists I’ve gone to before and has never been badly messed up. Unfortunately I was given one badly blended layer in the back and two chopped pieces in the front. I immediately had to book another appointment at another salon the next day as I work in an office all day and I was so embarrassed about my hair. The other stylist confirmed it was not well done at all for what I asked for. For a $100 haircut I would not recommend this place honestly. I don’t write reviews ever but this put me out a lot to pay for my hair that I now regret cutting at all.

Highly recommend Amanda Shipley! I have had my haircut by the same hairdresser since I was a baby. Seriously, she gave me my first haircut. So when I moved to Denver, I was very nervous about finding another hairstylist that I trust. I went to Amanda because my partner had gone to see her for a trim and her hair turned out really good! When I came to Amanda, my hair was long and all one length. I wanted somebody and something new but didn’t quite know exactly what. Amanda gave me such a great haircut and helped my natural waves really thrive! I’ve recently gone back to her again to get everything shaped up and she did the same amazing job.

i went to Nichole for years back when i lived in Denver and absolutely loved the way she cut and colored my hair. i moved out of state a few years ago and haven’t been able to find anyone to do my hair quite like she did. really missing Nichole as my stylist these days and should’ve written a review a long time ago. 10/10 recommend her!

Respectfully, in all my life of getting haircuts, I have never felt disappointed, angry or sad leaving a salon. It's a place that is usually safe and trusted - because our hair holds a lot of weight with our confidence. But that is exactly how I left today. I asked for a trim and curtain bangs and I left with hair a few inches shorter, looking like Dwight Schrute. A week before a major work event in CA. My bangs are awful and not at all curtained, not to mention so short I cannot even tuck them behind my ears. My hair is noticeably thinner because she put in too many layers - even though I advised I only do a FEW strategic layers due to thinner hair. And shorter by a few inches when I only asked for a trim (and note I did NOT have several inches worth of unhealthy hair). Bawling in a salon because you were not listened to is a horrifying experience. Will never return. And the offer to try and fix it? I wouldn't let anyone there near my hair with anything sharp (or dull for that matter) ever again. PLEASE think about what you do before you do it. Listening is free 99. Go conservative on cutting because you can always take more off - but there is no getting my hair back.

Revolver is definitely 10/10!! I had Amanda cut my hair into a Bixie/ Shag cut, which is really different than what i started with. She fit me in as a walk in which im super thankful for! She absolutely did me right, I left feeling much more confident than before!! She was honest about how my hair might not be textured enough for the exact style i wanted, but somehow still delivered the exact style I needed. Thank you Amanda!!

Lindsey Doying at Revolver is an absolute gem and a professional through and through. She is amazing at talking to me about what I want and working with my hair type so I’m happy with the results. She also does fantastic color. Beyond thrilled with my services from her!!

Couldn’t be happier with my color and extensions by Sarah! She always does a great job and was awesome at explaining the process and upkeep. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a stylist!
