Captiva Salon

I was a little hesitant to write a review because I thought my hair looked good until I looked at it more and realized it’s not at all what I asked for. I sent the first two pictures as inspiration. When discussing what I wanted, I said I wanted a more lived in balayage look. My hair was previously very light blonde with grown out roots. I just wanted it to blend better up top. I never once said that I wanted my hair to be darker and it ended up being dyed way too dark of a brown. It looks like I just have highlights now. It looks pretty for a highlighted brown hair look, but unfortunately that’s not what I wanted. I definitely wanted to keep my blonde hair but just have a more lived in look. It also took 6 hours. I’m very sad my blonde is gone since I spent so much time and money getting it there. I was totally fine with a few lowlights for dimension, but I sure was not expecting it to be that much darker. I even told my stylists during my appointment that I don’t want brown hair.

I love the atmosphere and all but they are not good with black hair. The lady who did my hair looked clueless, she didnt know exactly what she was doing, everything was a mess. She didn't put a single product in my hair, she didnt even wash the hair well ( still had dirt underneath my scalp). At the end of the day I had to go to another salon to get my hair done properly which i think is ridiculous! Nice atmosphere but I am not coming back.

Halee Slavens is the absolute best!! I go places and am constantly asked who does my hair?! When I tell them (while I’m in Vegas, Florida, California, etc) where I live and who does my hair in Denton, TX, they’re disappointed because they don’t live near enough to get their hair done by her! She is the absolute best!! I get so many compliments on my hair. If i could add them up, I’d be a rich woman!! 🥰

I’ve been going to Captiva for several years and have used a few different stylists there; they’ve all been great. I saw Kennedy O. today and she did an amazing job! I absolutely love my new cut and will be going back soon for a color update. If you’re looking for a new stylist, I highly recommend Kennedy!

Kennady does a beautiful job highlighting and cutting my hair. She doesn’t recommend anything not necessary and my hair has never been healthier. I highly recommend.

My appointment was with Tori. She’s an amazing stylist, very gifted at what she does. She is also very kind and we always have good conversations. I have been going to her for years after struggling to find someone that was able to deal with my hair. I highly recommend Captiva salon!

Elizabeth is an absolute artist! She has styled my hair for two big events, and both times, she exceeded my expectations. She’s incredibly talented, fast, and truly listens to bring your vision to life—even making it better than you imagined! The salon has a great atmosphere, and the experience is always top-notch. Highly recommend Elizabeth for any special occasion or just a fabulous style!
