Adore Hair Studio Decatur

After coming to Adore for 2 years, I will be finding another salon. I had an extremely rude experience when I went in for my *scheduled and confirmed* haircut today. I have a confirmation email and text stating that I was scheduled for a Haircut. When I got to the salon, the stylist told me I was booked for a consultation only. I showed her the confirmation email stating that I was indeed booked for a Haircut. She took me to the front desk, shoved the computer in my face and said "Well, *I* have you down for a consultation. SEE?" and pointed her finger at the box. Listen, I am the customer. The email the salon sent me said Female Haircut, which is what I booked. That's the extent to which I am responsible. It is your job, to say "Hmm, that must be an error. Sorry for the confusion. Let me see what I can do." There was no "hey I'm sorry about that, let me see if I can accommodate you or reschedule you. Are you available for xyz?" She just kept aggressively telling me that I was only there for a consultation, and acting super annoyed, which made me feel like she was implying it was my fault. If I had to reschedule, okay. That's not the end of the world. But being treated that way and not offered any solution or assistance, and being made to feel like I was inconveniencing her? I'll HAPPILY take my money elsewhere.

i’ve visited 4+ times now and each time has been lovely 😊 ellie has been my stylist and she’s great. whether it’s been a trim, a cut, or bangs, i’ve been thrilled with the results! looking forward to doing color at my next appointment. and john has been just as great, making me feel super welcome from when i’ve called to the moment i’ve arrived.

I’ve been going to both Adore studios for a while now - they have top notch stylists and a great environment. Currently my stylist for hair and cuts is Jamie Malfeo. She’s a kind and lovely person and a true artist. I have fine, wavy hair that I often wear natural but occasionally will style straight or with a wand. Jamie has helped me experiment with blonde, copper, brown tones. Highlights, lowlights, full color, balayage, I’ve done it all 🙂 I always get tons of compliments on my hair looooong after the appointment. So that’s what keeps me going back plus the ease of maintenance. I like that she takes that into account too. My most recent visit was yesterday. I wore a mask as did 3 people who were inside at the time (2 stylists, 2 clients). Perfectly safe and all the possible precautions taken.

This was my first time coming to Adore Hair Studio. I booked with Dana and she was great. So nice and welcoming. She did an amazing job cutting my hair. She matched the inspiration photo very well and now my hair is easy, manageable, and cute! It’s been a long time since I’ve been to a salon to get a haircut and she just made it such a lovely experience. Will be going back to her for touch ups and future haircuts.

Philippa is just amazing! First of all, she listens. She consistently gives such a great haircut that keeps its shape and makes my fine hair easy to style. As well, John is great as the ‘gate keeper’. Always returns calls and works hard to try and accommodate appointment needs. There has to be a very good reason for me to drive 45 min for hair appointments! ❤️

Dana was phenomenal from the moment I walked in to the moment I left! She is warm and incredibly talented, I absolutely love my haircut. She listened intently when I shared the specific issues I had with my previous cuts from other salons and made sure I walked out feeling like I had exactly the cut I had hoping for. Thank you Dana, you are the absolute best!

Moved to the area and scheduled an appointment on Tuesday for Friday at 1 for a cut and style. Received a message at 11on Friday that the stylist, who had been unwell for the past few days, was still unwell and they needed to cancel my appointment. We all get sick but I would have appreciated notification the day before. Very unprofessional.
