For context, I got my haircut done 2 weeks before my wedding. I've actually been going to Salon Mixx for a few months now before my most recent haircut which was a couple of weeks ago. During my wedding I thought that my hair turned out exactly how I imagined it would and it really helped me feel confident and look great throughout the whole night. I'm notoriously bad at asking for what I want in a haircut but Billie has always been fantastic at helping me figure out what I want. They were able to help me style my hair and find hairstyles that would fit my type of hair as well as my face shape. I can certainly say with confidence that I've had the best haircuts I've ever had from Billie at Salon Mixx. Before I walked in, I didn't even know my hair wasn't straight, it was actually a little wavy and I had to take care of it differently. After that point, I feel like my hair has had more texture to it and all of my haircuts since then have looked better, especially the haircut I got for my wedding day. Thanks again to Salon Mixx and Billie for making sure I look and feel incredible on my wedding day!

Incredible experience!!! Super cute amazing little salon. Eclectic art and very comfortable hair washing chairs. I went in with a severely bad hair color n store chunky cut. I was ready to have them cut all off my hair short. They're damaged looked so bad I cried for days. But this was the best experience ever. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE my hair 😍 💕 Kim G. Was the amazing lady who cut my hair. Sweet, funny and really knows what's she is doing. She is the absolute best!! I honestly can't say enough food things. I will definitely be back again n again.

This is honestly the coolest salon I’ve ever been to! The vibe is unlike any other, amazing artwork, fun energy, and such a friendly, welcoming staff. Sommer is funny, easy to talk to, and incredibly talented. I was a little nervous going in after past bad experiences, but she talked me through everything and made me feel totally comfortable. She even suggested products that actually made sense for my hair (not pushy at all). I left loving my hair and feeling so cute. Highly recommend!

Went here from a recommendation and it was the right choice. The ability to book online makes it easy to get in and pick who you are working with. My hair had been lacking in artistic care for almost 6 months and needed a professional touch. I was able to get in with Dayna, who was new to the salon. Appears the Salon Mixx is hiring good talent to fill the chairs! Dayna gave me a great cut and beard clean up. Also some great tips for some local spots. The decor and the professionalism gives this salon a great energy. Punk Goth Metal theme and style. 100% is the place for my partner and I.

I came to this salon to fix my hair color. At home, I had colored my black hair to a light brown, but only half of it took the color and the other half remained black. I asked the salon to make the entire base color a dark brown with lighter highlights. Instead, they used black dye rather than dark brown and unnecessarily bleached my hair, which caused a lot of damage. My hair ended up losing volume, became very fragile, and I had a lot of hair loss. When I returned to have it corrected, the owner tried to fix it by applying toner multiple times, which burned my scalp. In the end, they washed my hair and left without even drying it, saying they didn't have time. On top of that, they were disrespectful and didn’t acknowledge their mistakes. For my mother, we requested a permanent wave. They did the process, told us to buy special products and follow their instructions, but after one wash all the curls disappeared. Her hair was also damaged and no result remained. I’m leaving this review so others are aware. We spent $220 for my hair and $150 for my mother's, and neither of us got what we asked for. I hope the salon improves their service in the future. Thank you for your response. However, I must clarify several points and express my disappointment with how the situation has been handled. It’s true that I returned to your salon for a follow-up, but that appointment change was made based on your team’s own suggestion so that both my mother and I could come together. The stylist who originally worked on my hair was not available, and the owner herself handled my hair that day. At no point did I say I was satisfied — in fact, I stayed quiet while your team mentioned that bleaching my hair again would cause serious damage. Despite that, multiple rounds of toner were applied to my hair to remove redness. Each time the toner was used, I felt burning and irritation on my scalp. After that visit, my hair began to fall out severely — far more than before — and the damage was so bad that I eventually had to cut my hair short to remove the destroyed sections. As for my mother, the explanation that her perm was affected because she "tied her scarf too tightly" is inaccurate and unfair. My mother rarely leaves the house and keeps her hair uncovered most of the time. She only wears a light scarf when going outside. So, the results of her perm clearly show poor application, not customer negligence. What I find most disappointing is how the salon handled my concerns. Instead of taking responsibility, I was treated unprofessionally — my wet hair was left unstyled, and I was told that my hair wouldn’t be dried. That kind of behavior is completely unacceptable from a business that claims to value its clients. Additionally, I was told to use specific shampoos and conditioners, which I purchased at my own expense and used for weeks, hoping to repair the damage. Despite this, my hair never recovered. I spent far more money trying to fix the problem than what I originally paid for the service at your salon. No one ever informed me of a "7-day guarantee," and at no time did anyone reach out to ensure that I was satisfied after my visit. I made every effort to communicate politely and give your salon a chance to make things right, but instead, I received a dismissive and inaccurate response that blames the customer instead of acknowledging the mistakes made. Given the severe damage to my hair and the lack of accountability shown, I do not believe I received the professional service I paid for. I hope you take this feedback seriously and ensure no other clients experience the same treatment.

Konnie is my go to and the person who transformed my hair! Ever since I got my specially designed shag my life changed and I get compliments whenever my hair is down - every time. I can’t say enough, so kind and caring. Knows just what I need while communicating every step. My hair texture even changed to its natural form and it’s never been healthier. Simply, The best of the best! Also love that it’s a femme forward salon, never feel weird vibes, always super safe and fun!

The shop is decorated so nicely and the staff is really warm and welcoming. I get my haircut with Billy, I can’t recommend her enough. Such a lovely person and an amazing stylist. Her technique has helped my hair regain its texture. I’ve never been so happy with my haircut.
