Walked into the salon, looking for somebody free and can trim my hair on the spot. Summer happen to be free, and she did a great job it’s the way I described and asked for. Something I could blow dry and go every day! She is new in town, just 6 month but has 7 years of experience from LA! Professional and did blow dry and re-check my hair for perfection! She is a little shy but good at what she does.

Sassy hair studio is the best Hair salon I’ve been to, the studio is Pristine the staff are very welcoming and there attention to detail is unmatched but the best part is the finish product. I was out of word the moment i saw my hair it’s impeccable and immaculate. I would highly recommend Eddie if your looking for the best hair stylist, I would post some pictures of how good he is.

Got an appointment for cut+perm with Eddie, he was nothing short of incredible. Expertly scissor cut my hair, and the cut and perm were spot on with the reference photos I showed him. I have coarse asian hair that is sometimes tricky to style but Eddie clearly knew exactly what to do. We also had a great conversation throughout the whole thing. Eddie spoke English, Mandarin and Viet with us 🙂 I think I found my new go to stylist! The interior was very clean and modern, hair wash station was super comfortable, and with an appointment there was no wait at all.

I got my hair cut by Christine Jan for the first time and was very happy with the result! She pays close attention to detail and puts a great deal of effort to make sure you have a great experience. It begins and ends with washing your hair and overall takes around 40 minutes. I could tell Christine cares a lot about her customers by how engaged she was and how much she talked with me during the haircut. At the end, she makes sure you are satisfied with your haircut. Christine is very kind and I would definitely recommend you to get your haircut by her!

Woo, I have so much praise for Christina Han. Note: There was / is another person at this salon who's name is Christine Jan - that's a different person! Christina was the first person to perm my hair ever, and I am so glad that she was! The first time I got a perm from Christina was in October 2018 (she was working at a different salon back then), and now I have just received my third perm from her at her new station inside Sassy Hair (a perm typically lasts me 3-6 months)! My hair is naturally incredibly straight, flat, and I've never been a fan of how it looks when it grows out (doesn't hold volume or shape very well, even with a good amount of product). However, since I started getting perms + haircuts from Christina I've been able to get way more creative with my hair. Typically, I'll just wash it in the morning and add a tiny dab of pink Gatsby and style it by hand or I'll just touch up my bed hair slightly (it looks pretty good imo). The volume also allows me to rock hats and beanies way more confidently, and has also encouraged me to explore other styles (e.g. I could most definitely not pull off a Shaggy chic look prior to this). The thing I love the most about Christina's perms and haircuts are that they grow out really nicely and natural looking. Christina is also always willing to invest in her clients; recently she got some new equipment that heats the curls from the inside vs. outside (I've been told it's like a digital perm) - and I loved it! If you're a guy and you want to take that leap to really try something different with your hair - there's no one better that I could recommend than Christina Han 🥰 Now that I've shared my secret, please be nice to her!

This salon does not take responsibility for the work of each hairdresser. I went to Christine for a digital perm, paid $220 + $30 tip for a terrible job where she burned my hair into frazzled bunches, she left out a large lock which is still straight and put the rods in unevenly (horizontal one side and very angled on the other side) resulting in the curls not matching. I asked for $200 and she decided she'd only give $100. I got tired of arguing so I'd rather let her keep all the money and write a negative review (which I rarely do). I'm not interested in forcing money from someone living in SJ, even though they didn't deserve it...I care more that she is not willing to compensate for a bad service. 3.5hrs in the chair and I have to pay someone else to get it fixed. Total waste of my time and energy. The salon was of no help, they just rent out the space to the hairdressers and are not accountable for what happens there.

Update: Ly is now at VJONES Salon just down the street. Make sure that you pick your stylist wisely. I go to Ly Tran and she always does a great job.
