Jaz Hair Studio

This was a couple years ago, but I went in for a haircut and left feeling deflated. I was sitting in the salon chair (I had thick, wavy, and long hair at the time) and while Jaz was working on my hair, her mom Betty came over and said I looked "like a troll doll" and laughed. It was embarrassing and unprofessional, and I would have walked out had I not been 17 and couldn’t drive myself home yet. I didn’t go back because I felt like a nuisance in the salon every time I went, and that was the last straw. The haircuts themselves were okay, but I could’ve gone somewhere else for the same price, same quality haircuts, and nicer stylists.

I went there for a Brazilian blowout, initially went for the Facebook advertisement of $99 service up to 20 Inch Tuesday to Friday and 50% off any day service 1st time clients. I called and asked price and I was told around $150, availability same day I called . It went up to $258 for length and thickness which was sad because I was informed that it would be around $150, but my hair was a mess. It would of been nice to be informed that it could go up more. Anyways, I wanted to do something with my hair so I said yes. Service was quick, I was told around 2-3 hours but I was done before the 2 hour mark, my treatment was started by Michael I think is his name and finished by both, the lady I'm not sure her name, but she was very nice and making conversation. 3 starts because customer service is not the strongest here with Michael that can be a little rude and insistant, but service gets done. Also, they could not find my hair ties when I asked for them. I'm not sure if price was the cheapest as well, but they use good products. I liked my hair at the end but environment in the salon gets a little tense with the way he talks sometimes.

I was in Corpus for a short weekend vacation and I decided to color my hair. Made an appointment on Friday and went in on Saturday morning and Betty did an amazing job on my hair color. I showed her the color I wanted to go for and she did it spot on. I also met the owner Jaz she was very nice and even offered me a drink while getting my hair done. I live 3 hours away from Corpus but I will definitely be coming back for color touch ups or full color. I love how it came out❤️

My daughter asked me last minute on the day of her Homecoming Dance if I would take her to get her hair trimmed! So I thought we would try a new salon close to home. Thankfully I did, because they had openings we ended up getting her hair trimmed and curled, my other daughter got her hair thinned and trimmed, and I got my hair trimmed. They are the nicest and so very great! My hair looks amazing Michael did the greatest job! I didn’t know this but when we got home both of my daughters started telling me that when he was cutting my hair he was down on the ground trimming my hair! He impressed me so much! I never go back to the same person for my hair but here for this amazing treatment I’m never leaving! I was so impressed and my hair looks better than it has in years! Thank you Michael

So I went in to get a bayalage showed a pic for reference Michael was my hairdresser he suggested highlights. He took his time and was very courteous but when he finished my hair it was nothing like the picture hair he added a dark undertone instead of light brown! My ends are dried can’t brush my hair after a shower because it gets so matted and my ends were toned dark grey! He also cut a lot of my ends off yet was still dry. I wanted to love my hair and even went back for a correction to tone down to a brown shade and still my highlights are not even, my hair is patchy! He let me walk out with wet hair while it’s cold outside so he wouldn’t charge me! Like I’ve never heard of a salon doing that I shouldn’t even of had to pay because I got the complete opposite of what I wanted to begin with I paid $362 for foil highlights, toner, cut plus $45 tip for his time to get my hair ruined! My first salon Experience Never will I trust anyone with my hair again!

This was my first time there. I got a Balayage Hair Style and I was very happy with the out come. Mike did an awesome job and so did the other two ladies there. They were very friendly. The only thing was that I was not expecting to pay the amount that I paid. Other than that the service was awesome.

Amazing experience! The happiest I’ve ever been after leaving a salon. Jaz is an amazing stylist and is super respectful. I definitely recommend!
