Lemon Honey Salon

I’ve been debating leaving this review. I’ve always been of the attitude that hair grows back and that every stylist has bad days so I like to give the benefit of the doubt. However, I was very upset leaving yesterday and decided to sleep on it before jumping on google. I selected Desi because her reviews are so positive, it must be that she’s very good at color because my haircut is terrible. (To quote my husband "yikes" and my sister "oh no no no no no") We spent very little time talking about the style, she asked for an inspiration photo (I’m attaching to this review) which she glanced at and indicated she knew what to do. Her technique with the scissors is very fast, which is fine except there wasn’t a lot of thought or communication regarding the length of the front, which suddenly dropped down mid forehead and disappointingly short (hair grows, no biggie). As I’m watching the haircut my face must’ve fallen because she asked if I was happy and I mentioned that the back was sticking straight up, she told me it was a styling issue and she’d fix it, she put a giant dollop of styling gel and squished my hair down (which still didn’t work) leaving me with hair the texture of Lego hair (see photo below of the back of my head with hair sticking up). When the haircut was over I tried to remain cheerful and said it’s too short but I’ll just plan on letting my hair grow out longer before my next haircut. Here’s where things went down hill. She insisted she gave me a good haircut and asked me to pull out the photo. I pointed to different areas of the photo while she argued that the cut was the same. When I refused to be deluded she got nasty and said: well, it’s Ai anyway. Umm, if she couldn’t do the cut, the time to mention it was before she started. Anyway, I’ve attached the inspiration photo, how I walked out of the salon (second photo), and the photo after I washed and styled it. Incidentally, I have to keep smoothing down the hair at my crown to keep it from sticking up. Funny thing is, if she’d have just said "sorry you’re disappointed" I wouldn’t have written this review. I just can’t deal with the fact that she kept arguing about it as if that was going to make the haircut better. 3 stars because the facility is nice and the management charged me for a barber cut instead of her $90 rate. I did leave her a tip at the reduced rate because, everyone needs to make a living.

I absolutely love this salon. Everyone is so kind, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. I’ve had my hair cut and colored by Synthia, and she is truly amazing—knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly talented. I always feel completely comfortable in her chair and leave smiling every time!

As a platinum blonde, I can’t say enough amazing things about Miguelina! When I found Lemon HoneySalon, I was on a multi-week trip and really sensitive to needing a root touch up around the 4 week mark. As a first time client, everyone at the salon was incredibly friendly. Miguelina was super thorough at applying bleach to my scalp for total coverage and went back through to ensure there was no banding. The end result was better than my stylist back home (but please don’t tell her that!). Thank you again for squeezing me in at the last moment, especially for something tricky like platinum blonde maintenance.

Chris is truly exceptional!! He is an absolute amazing hairstylist and an even better person! He puts so much love, honesty, and respect into his clients and their wants and needs! I have been going to Chris for a year now and I am so grateful that I made the switch to him!

So, I personally have always had a bad experience getting my hair done at certain places because I feel that my stylists never have truly listened to what I want and how I envision my hair to be. However, two years ago, I was about to go to my senior prom and was really in need of a new color. My friend Kerri recommended me to Lemon Honey Salon and specifically the stylist Synthia. I came nervous thinking it was a one-time thing but after meeting Synthia and having her work on my hair I've never seen my hair become so healthy, gorgeous, and just as I dreamed. I came in originally brunette and we have spent many sessions creating this silver blonde. These pictures were from my last visit and all I can say is I 100/10% recommend coming to Lemon Honey Salon and specifically asking for Synthia, she is THE BEST!!

This salon is excellent and I've been a customer here for years. The stylists here are all hair experts and they clearly love what they do. There is so much creativity and talent at this salon. Arturo does my cut and highlights. Not only is he a top level stylist, he's a sweet and kind person. If you're not sure who to book with, talk to Allison at the front desk and she will match you with your perfect stylist!

I get my hair done with Paul and he is so amazing! I have very thick hair and he did three vibrant colors on my very dark hair. He is so amazing at lightening my hair without damaging it and applying the colors in such a beautiful way! Paul is my go to for all things hair. The salon was very clean and everyone was so friendly there!
