I recently moved to Clearwater from Brooksville and needed a new stylist. From the very first phone call, my experience at Goba Salon and Spa was exceptional. Brad answered the phone and booked my appointment, and he was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and informative—it immediately set the tone for what turned out to be a wonderful visit. Jameel (J-A-M-E-E-L), my hair artist, was absolutely fabulous. His talent, attention to detail, and positive energy made the entire experience feel special. The atmosphere of the salon is stunning—beautiful chandeliers, fresh-cut flowers, lush plants, bright lighting, and up-to-date music. I was literally dancing in my seat and had to remind myself to stay still so he could cut my hair! I left feeling refreshed, confident, and truly cared for. This wasn’t just a salon visit—it felt like finding a new family at a new location. Thank you so much to Brad, Jameel, and the entire Goba team for such an amazing experience. My stylist, Autumn, was incredibly knowledgeable and truly understood my hair and what it needed. My husband has been a client at Salon Gaboa for several years, and I’ve always been impressed with the salon and its staff — they’re warm, kind, and genuinely welcoming. I decided to make a change from my previous stylist, and today was my first haircut and color with Jameel (Jay). I’m so happy with the results! Jay is fun, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about hair. He offered great suggestions, really listened to what I was looking for, and delivered exactly what I wanted. My hair turned out amazing, and I’m already looking forward to my next appointment. If you’re searching for a new salon and stylist, this is your place! Bridget (the owner), Brad (at the front desk), and Jay (stylist) will take excellent care of you and make you feel your absolute best.

Carly did an amazing job on my hair! She was friendly, helpful and very courteous. The owner of Gaboa was very friendly as was the other staff members. I have tried out 4 other salons in the area and I have to say that I will keep visiting Gaboa! Thanks guys! Happy New Year! Oh they gave me a wonderful relaxing hand massage as Carly was washing my hair and giving me an extra special head massage while washing! 😀Hand massage was free of charge using wonderful hand relief moisturizer. They also threw in a few littke extras free of charge and a wonderful Thank you card! You guys are awesome!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If I could give her 10 stars, I would but apparently Google wants me to stay humble. Let me just say this: Sarah at Salon Gaboa is not a hair stylist… she is a full-blown hair therapist with a side degree in color wizardry and emotional support. Every time I sit in her chair, she looks at my hair like a Michelin-star chef looks at a truffle, focused, passionate, slightly concerned about what I’ve done to it, but absolutely determined to make it magnificent. She is an expert colorist, a precision cutter, and somehow also a part-time life coach. She takes whatever chaos I walk in with (emotionally and follicle-y) and sends me out the door at 150%, like I’m about to film a shampoo commercial in slow motion. Sarah is fabulous, hilarious, professional, talented beyond words, and honestly? Too good for this world. She makes magic every single time. If you want hair that makes people stop and go, "Wow… who did your hair?" this is your girl. Sarah. Salon Gaboa. Clearwater. Book her. Thank me later.

Carly was AMAZING! First time having my hair done in 2+ years and I’ve never been happier! My hair is still super healthy!! She’s extremely personal and such a fun spirit! She added in some of her personal creativity and I loved it!! She is beyond good at what she does! I felt so welcomed throughout the whole salon! Truly an amazing community there!! Can not wait to go back!!

This was the worst experience of my life at a salon. LUCKY TO HAVE HAIR LEFT. I rarely go to salons and get my hair done and decided to treat myself while on vacation. I originally wanted a baylage but that wasn’t possible with my hair being so dark which makes sense. We decided to do highlights after doing a test strip. Halfway through putting foils in my hair my head got really hot and felt like it was on fire, I looked up and literally saw smoke. I started telling the stylist that it was burning and she immediately took those foils out and rinsed half my head. The main lady I’m assuming is a manager asked if I have any other color on my head and I said no I haven’t been to a salon at least 3 years. She kept reassuring me that it didn’t touch my scalp. Mind you I know nothing about hair so at this point I don’t know what’s going on. We continue with the side foils at this point it’s been maybe 3 or 4 hours. I arrived at 4:30pm and left at around 9pm. Finally after all the foils were out and toner was in this was past closing time. While rinsing the toner out the stylist said we can skip blow drying because of time, or another stylist would stay over and blow dry and cut my hair. At this point I’m over it and just want to leave this nightmare. I say just cut it and skip blow drying. I can tell they was in a rush putting the toner in and washing it out. It was leaking down my face as I sat there. My stylist did a lot of work and I felt bad it was after closing but the end result (my hair) is absolutely garbage. Paid $305 after a tip with wet, stringy strands of hair. Doesn’t even look like there’s highlights on one side. This place scammed me, considering I’m lucky to even have hair left. I woke up today and certain strands of hair are hard as a rock. Again I know nothing about hair they didn’t tell me any aftercare or nothing. You’d think for $300 plus I could get some guidance. This place has ruined hair salons for me and somewhat my vacation. My hair looks like a 13 year old teenager that dyed her own hair. Couldn’t even get a discount for my hair being fried and barely washed out. *In response to your response, I was never told an estimate of pricing to begin with. I was never told any kind of aftercare for the hair as well. The highlights are completely different shades and my hair is damaged. I can barely even wash it properly and now have some kind of build up on my scalp. I never expressed satisfaction when I left the only thing I said was sorry for them having to stay after closing. I could not even tell as my hair was still wet. As I told the stylist I was on vacation and we left early Friday morning so I could not come back in. You say you made it right but have not responded to my multiple emails asking for at least a partial refund as I am not happy with the results period. Maybe if I was a boujee lady asking for a refund I wouldn’t have to even ask twice.
