We were referred to Sarah by a good friend for my daughter’s hair. The finished product was more than I imagined, her hair turned out amazing! Thank you Sarah! She absolutely loves it!

I remember being a consistent patron when I lived in chula vista. I was in town visiting family and decided to treat myself to a haircut. I’m 10 months postpartum and have had a lot of hair changes since having a baby. I was very disappointed that they started my appointment 20 minutes after the scheduled time. I was given very minimal time for the "complimentary neck and facial" and my service was rushed, because my stylist decided to squeeze someone in prior to my appointment time. I told my junior hair stylist what exactly I was looking for. I brought in pictures and still even felt she wasn’t understanding what I wanted. I have curly hair but it’s been thinned with all the hormones. I should have walked out but I let her cut. She spent less than five minutes cutting. My "bangs & face framing" layers are uneven. She thinned out my hair when it’s already so thin. I asked for a shag cut to prevent my hair from being bottom heavy (& giving a triangle appearance). I tried to correct her even after the cut and dry but she just went in with scissors and thinned it out. She left me looking like a frizzed out poodle. Gaby was so kind, I liked her personally but I absolutely hate my hair and when I called they offered to have her correct it. But I’m so scared to let her touch my hair again and make it worse. I’d only let someone more senior attempt to correct my hair. I’m so upset. 😔

Elida is absolutely amazing!! She goes above and beyond to make your dream hair come true. Salon is super clean, and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I can’t say enough about this amazing salon!

I first got a consultation for a color correction due to the hair I tried to bleach not lifting evenly at all. Instead of giving me a set price, they were willing to work within my budget to get as close to my desired results as possible. Sarah went above and beyond to be gentle with my fine tangle-prone hair and the results were better than I even expected. In addition to the color correction we did a peachy toner and I’m in love with the look. Sarah was so nice and amazing at her job! You can see how even the lift and color was to the under portion of my hair in the photo. I would recommend Sarah to anyone, especially for a color correction! The complimentary services, snacks, and water are just cherries on top of a salon with prices that are comparable with most salons. Thank you Sarah! <3 :)

The Gila Rut salon on Otay Ranch has been my go-to salon for the last 12 years. Katie is my colorist and has colored my hair for 10+ years. She is the best in her field. She provides the same high-quality service each and every time. I receive a consultation with each appointment, even though I rarely change my color. When I want a change she provides the "tough-love" needed to not let me go down a very expensive color correction. The second reason I am a years-long Gila Rut customer is the high quality Aveda products. And the third, women owned salon with a terrific staff.
