Good Sister Studio

Wow…I could write a novel about my experience with Alexa at Good Sister. As a 40-something curly gal with a whole lot of hair, I have never been happier with the cuts I have received. Alexa takes the time to get to know you and your hair before the scissors even make an appearance, and then while she cuts and styles your magnificent mane, she takes the time to educate you on styling techniques and products to ensure that you can replicate the masterpiece at home. In addition to being a literal hair magician, Alexa is one of the coolest people I’ve ever had the privilege of getting to know. She genuinely cares about her clients and makes a situation that can be stressful for curly folks with previous traumatic haircut experiences as comfortable as possible (my fellow curlies all know what I mean). I cannot recommend Good Sister enough!

I recently had the pleasure of getting my hair done by Riley, and I must say, it was the best experience I've ever had! From the moment I walked into the salon, I felt genuinely cared for. Riley took exceptional care and attention to detail with my hair, truly listening to my needs and preferences. I left with results that exceeded my expectations! Having recently moved to the area and being a hairdresser myself for over a decade, I can be quite particular about hair services. Unfortunately, I’ve often felt disappointed in the past, but not this time! Riley’s expertise and dedication made all the difference. I wholeheartedly give this experience a 10 out of 5 stars and highly recommend Riley to anyone looking for top-notch hair care!

There are no words that can express how wonderful Good Sister Studio is!! Alexa is my stylist, and I am completely impressed each time I see her. Whether it's been a transformation chop or a trim to lighten up the weight and add movement, Alexa is truly an artist in her craft. She is incredibly meticulous, and takes her time to make sure that you walk away feeling your best. For my most recent cut, Alexa took great care to clean up and trim split ends; mind you, she did this layer by layer, and I have very thick hair. Before she even began refreshing my layers, my hair looked and felt considerably better. I have never experienced such care from a stylist. She is truly the best. From the warm and accepting atmosphere to the talented and friendly stylists, Good Sister is the best salon out there.

I've been going to Good Sister since they opened, and I alternate between Alexa and Meg. Both of these humans are SO educated about hair in general and specifically, curly hair. They've taken me from a pixie to a long shag to a bob and every time I leave there feeling more like myself than I ever have. I've also taken my tween to Meg and she breathed life back into her hair and made her feel so grown. Good Sister takes such care of their clients, and I consider them to be friends too. 10/10 will go back to them forever.

I loved my visit to Good Sister!! Riley is the perfect cross between a scientist and an artist. She took the time to learn my hair history, hear about my fears, and breakdown the science of each product I was using. I’ve been getting the same haircut for 20 years and she’s the first person to challenge what I believed my hair could do. Worth every minute and penny spent here!

So in love with this place and the experience they give!! Alexa really gets to know you and your hair and your goals for daily styling. For me, she’s given me the best hair cut for low maintenance, minimal styling that suits my straight/wavy hair. It’s such a relaxing experience to catch up with her and see my hair shaped into an accessory. Can’t recommend enough.

I see Alexa and my daughter sees Meghan. What incredible and knowledgeable stylists! I so appreciate the time they take to understand the goals for our hair and what is manageable for us. We always both feel like a trillion dollars after we leave there. It's wonderful to have stylists that not only give you a great consultation and cut, but also take the time to really SEE you. Alexa and Meghan have poured their hearts and souls into this business and it's evident in everything they do. Having a safe space like this is so important because hair can be a very vulnerable thing closely tied to your identity and Good Sister Studio provides that in spades!
