Lava Salon - Park Circle

I recently went to Lava Salon, Sky Mills is wonderful! I highly recommend this salon! The space is clean, efficient and fun to be in. Everyone is very professional and nice. Reasonably priced. Sky is knowledgeable, professional and really good at what she does! I have finally found a hairdresser that I will go to again! If you haven’t already been, you should definitely call and make an appointment!!!

My experience at Lava was horrible. My hair is damaged beyond repair. The photo where my hair is blonde is to show the difference in damage and thickness. The blonde was also done at lava and I was happy with that, but my experience went down hill from there. My next two appointments, the color wasn’t what I asked for. There was never any acknowledgement by the stylist of the damage to my hair (or shirt). I didn’t want to leave a bad review because they did try to color correct my hair to what I asked for (free of charge) at the other location, but they can’t put the hair back that’s missing from a third of my head... I did reach out to the owner via email a week ago to share my experience, but I still haven’t received a response. By posting this review, i just hope to save others from having the same horrendous outcome.

Zoe always does an incredible job with my hair, I can’t say enough great things about her and this salon. If you’re looking for a down to earth environment to relax and have your hair well taken care of, this is definitely the place to go!

Courtney was fabulous!! I love the dimension she added while keeping blonde around my face!! Love this salon and its atmosphere!! Everyone is so friendly!! Such a cool place !!

I have been a customer of April Park for over 2 years now. She is hands down the best hair stylist I have ever been to. April takes the time to get to know what her client likes and she really care about her customer. She is always educating me on new products and show me how to take great care of my hair. She is very talented in what she does. I have dark black hair and she is able to lift it to very blonde so seamlessly. She moved away from Columbia to Charleston and I still drive to see her for my hair appointment. I always get good results from Arpril Park. Highly recommended!

I currently have been seeing Courtney McBride for my hair involving hair trim, hair cut, balayage, or highlights, money piece, color, toning, etc here and there at Lava Salon in Park Circle the past several months!! So appreciative of her !! She is very informative and answered any questions or concerns I had including products and the proper hair aftercare! I have used recommended products by Courtney and am enjoying my results!! All my interactions with the entire staff has been lovely!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS THE PLACE FOR YOUR HAIR CARE!!! 💖

I had my hair done and was left with a poor color job and choppy haircut. Went back for a re-do and the haircut is still bad. It looks like I no longer have the most of the spots on my head from the first appointment but it missed the mark of the inspiration photo by a mile. The result is still disappointing. Uneven color and awful layers. Overall pretty upset as I have spent a lot of money and time and I am now wishing I just wouldn't have gotten my hair done at all.
