Zion African Hair Braiding

I asked for boho braids with Fulani parts, and she delivered! Definitely recommend and will be coming back :). The parting is so clean as well, and I appreciate her expertise.

Little bit of a language barrier but overall 10/10 experience. I wanted to keep my scene style but have braids. The price was definitely fair, parts are neat, and braids look and feel awesome. Very happy with my experience

I wrote a long review, but lost it. I'll try again, just getting to the point. My honest review. 1. These ladies are very good at what they do. Very precise braiding and they look great. 2. The language barrier made it very difficult to talk to them and the lack of mirrors made it so you couldn't watch what they are doing. It was nerve wracking being unsure they understood what you wanted. The lady who did my braids didn't do what i asked for, but i like what she did better than my idea. This language barrier also prevented any friendly conversation. 3. The lady who was braiding my hair listened and watched videos on her phone while she braided. My issue with this is that i couldn't see the videos and it wasn't in English. I just sat there with no mirror to watch her braid, and listening to an awful crinkling plastic noise behind me (apparently the videos were about unboxing things?) And i couldn't look at my phone because she would move my head back in place. Perhaps a TV in front of the customer would be very beneficial- and a mirror. (The lovely posters on the wall really need to be replaced, they are tattered from being moved - yes, I studied them in great detail since I had nothing else to look at) 4. Know that they ONLY TAKE CASH, CHECK OR ZELLE. I never carry cash or a check book, so that created a bit of panic - but then i remembered our bank uses Zelle. I should mention that the beautiful lady who braided my hair was nice enough to barter a bit on the price. I've seen enough videos where other ethnicities get charged more - I felt good about the price we agreed on.

I HIGHLY recommend Zion’s African Hair Braiding! I love that she’s friendly and super fast at replying when booking your appointment. She makes it super easy because she provides the hair so you really just have to show up to your appointment but she also gives you the option to bring your own hair if you want a specific color or preference on the hair. I usually get boho and I’ve never had any issues with the hair and it’s been good quality and lasted a long time. Recently she truly made my blonde vision come to life and I just had to come on here and share how happy I am with my braids. I wasn’t able to find an exact inspiration picture of what I wanted but I told her I trusted her judgement and she didn’t let me down!! She made it look even better than any of the photos I found on Pinterest and I’m obsessed with the final result!! Every time I’ve gotten my hair done by Zion I get so many compliments on my hair. I won’t trust anyone else with my hair!

I booked an appointment with her March 15th this past Friday. I sent her a picture of my daughter’s hair prior and asked her if she was able to work with short hair. She told me yes that she would charge me 180 when we got there. Everything was fine. My daughter ended up wanting the length longer, neither of them mentioned anything to me about an added cost due to length..I found out because my daughter told me that she was charging her 250 instead of 180. Mind you the child is 13 years old. Not even two days later March 17th five of her braids in the back fell out one after another.

Definitely recommend took my daughter she has her out the chair within 2 hours and did knot braids
