I’ve never colored my hair before or gotten anything more extreme than a haircut, so I was pretty nervous when I first started shopping around for a salon to do my highlights. I have very thick, coarse, black hair that’s also naturally straight. I know I wanted a subtle pop of color. I also wanted my natural dark base to come through. Going to Patrizia and trusting her with my hair was one of the best decisions I’ve made in recent memory. Although she suggested a cap technique - something I hadn’t heard of and was a style that another salon warned me against - she was informative and took the time to walk me through why she thought a cap would be best to achieve the style I’m looking for. She patiently answered all my questions and was kind enough to reassure me that I had nothing to worry about and that my hair would look beautiful, which as you can see from the pictures, it does! I can’t remember the last time I was this happy with my hair. Every single product she used was gentle, vegan, and cruelty-free and also smelled REALLY good. Patrizia is an artist and clearly knows her craft inside and out. Thank you, Patrizia, for going above and beyond in your service and making sure that I love my hair. 😍

Let me first say that Patrizia does amazing work. I have been searching for a hair stylist who knows what looks good on a person and who really knows about hair types. I have long thick hair and she worked wonders on it. The salon is so pleasant and she makes you feel so welcome and comfortable. I'm so happy with my haircut, I'm looking forward to my color soon.

I've been a client of Patrizia's (owner) since she opened, and what I love most about her and her salon is the professional and passionate manner that she takes care of me and my hair. She is knowledgeable, experienced, and a joyful person to know. I trust her 100% with my hair. She did my bridal shower hairstyle and my wedding hairstyle and both were beautiful. After my wedding I decided to go to a shorter hairstyle and she did a fabulous job (I took off about 5-6 inches). She always allots a perfect amount of time for each haircut or style. Additionally, she does my eyebrows and I have always been pleased with my "clean but natural" eyebrow curve. She tidies them up for me nicely. Overall, I highly recommend Patrizia if you want a professional, positive experience as she is one of the most passionate people I have known when it comes to your hair and image.

Patrizia absolutely reinvigorated my curls! The ends of my hair were dead a straight and I had no idea how to properly fix it. Patrizia showed me the best shape for my hair to be cut in, told me how I should be caring for it, and made it look so healthy and beautiful again! I would 100% recommend this salon for anyone looking to get a quality haircut, especially if you're like me and don't trust many people with your hair.

The great reviews I read about Express Yourself Salon and the amazing ability of Patrizia is what made me decide to give it a try. I can honestly say, I have never ever had a better haircut in my life. Patrizia is so incredibly talented - she knows hair and is definitely not afraid to tell you what she thinks you need. I LOVE that. I went in today for a haircut and came out with an actual style! Oh, and dyed eyebrows - which I love - even if they are a little lighter than Patrizia wanted me to get LOL. Though I think next time, I might just go slightly darker. I had such a great time chatting with Patrizia and I met another super nice and funny lady named Maria who was getting her masterpiece done..and boy did she look fabulous! This was one of the best experiences I have ever had getting a haircut and I almost can't wait for this one to grow out so I can go again. Thank you so much Patrizia...you are awesome!

I moved to this area 5 years ago and have tried numerous salons/stylists, only to be disappointed. I called Patrizia Tuesday, explaining to her what I was looking for. She asked I come in for a consultation. That's new! She likes to talk with you about your goals before setting appointments as she doesn't want to disappoint if she can't deliver. Honest, upfront, professional. 32 years experience and it shows. I absolutely LOVE what she did. Color, cut and style exactly what we discussed and what I was looking for. I left her salon today extremely happy and feeling beautiful. As long as she's working, I will be her customer. Salon is very pretty, relaxing and clean. Finally, someone that listens, excellent in her craft and delivers results. I'd give her 10 stars if I could. Patrizia, you are a true professional artist. Sincerely, THANK YOU.

My hair looks and feels amazing! If you have curly hair, Patrizia is a must. I hadn’t had a cut in a very long time and thought my hair was so damaged that it needed a big chop. She just trimmed the dry damaged ends and saved me from cutting most of my hair. She took her time with my hair and let me know what sort of products I needed to use on my hair and how. You can tell she is very knowledgeable and enjoys what she does. Will return again when I’m due for another trim.
