I haven't gotten my hair highlighted since my wedding... 18 years ago. Claimed I never would, because mom never did. But I gave in, after being called a brunette one too many times. I'm a blonde, goddammit! I did my research and was delighted to see a well-priced, multiple-5-star-review place a short walk from home. I wanted extremely subtle - for people to say "your hair looks great" but not "oh, wow, did you get highlights?" And I got exactly what I asked for! Luba was great, and the salon, warm and welcoming. I'll be back!

Luba is great! I needed to find a new stylist in my neighborhood so I took a risk with Park Slope Hair and Makeup and they did not disappoint. I got about 4 inches cut off and I wanted to get curtains bangs for the first time. Luba checked in with me during every step, making sure I was comfortable with what she was about to do. She cut and styled my hair even better than I could have imagined! I did not think the shampoo service was anything special but that did not take away from the perfect result.

I needed hair and makeup done for an important event and reached out to Luba pretty last minute, immediately she connected with me and reshuffled her schedule to accommodate me first thing in the morning, and rearranged other clients all to fit me in within a tight time table, all before her salon opened. The entire time Luba was incredibly attentive, professional, and made me feel comfortable. The hair and makeup was beyond my expectations, held up 8+ hours through a hot humid day, and I had many compliments and the price was very reasonable. I can't recommend Luba enough for going above and beyond, give Park Slope Hair and Makeup a try, you won't be disappointed!!

Got my hair and makeup done for a wedding I was attending and the entire experience was wonderful and seamless.The team was easy to book and communicate with. They completed both services in a timely manner and were able to execute my vision! Will definitely be back!

I went in just based on a quick conversation over the phone. I sat down and asked her what she thought I needed. She carefully told me that there were some bad areas of my hair. When I told her what the previous person had done she understood and warmly and gently told me what would be needed to fix the disastrous former cut. When she was done I was practically in tears because she made my hair look so much better! Gave her a hug and we discussed possible next steps. I can’t wait to get back in there for next steps. She is a total pro with great instincts… I am so grateful to her.

I’ve had my hair and makeup done probably around 50 times for weddings and events and I can honestly say my experience with Luba at Park Slope was one of the best. She did my hair and makeup for my baby shower. The scheduling process was super easy and on the day of she was kind and welcoming and listened to exactly what I wanted. She took her time and went above and beyond with making sure my hair would hold up on a humid rainy day. I got SO many compliments from friends and family that day and felt so confident and happy with how the photos turned out and how i felt that day ! Would recommend to ANYONE looking for a great experience.

Loved my experience! Luba is amazing she did a great job! Everything was fairly priced, the suggestions were helpful, no over charging for treatments and my hair was transformed. I got a full bayalage, cut, and style. Long dark hair and it was blended so well. Highly recommend!
