Honestly, I’m not one to write reviews but I just had to put this out there. I’ve gone here a few times and they usually do a good job but I think their prices are outrageous. They won’t give you a firm price on the phone, you have to go in and they need to look at your hair in order to give you a price, which I suppose is fair. What I don’t think is fair is paying $40 for a trim. I usually trim my hair at home but the stylist repeatedly insisted I get a trim there, so I did. The service was fine but when it came time to pay, they didn’t have Apple Pay which is okay so I used my card…I believe this also happened the last time I was there but they charged me almost $10 in SALES TAX on top of my service. To be honest, I found that weird. My service was (wash+ blow dry+ deep cond) =$65, add the $40(trim)= $105 PLUS SALES TAX = $115.32 I’m sorry but I think it’s ridiculous. I wish them the best and hope they thrive but I won’t be back.

Lisa was wonderful from start to finish. She took her time, gave me advice, and her experience with hair definitely shows. She even took the extra time to make sure everything looked right after she had already finished. I was very pleased with the outcome. The owner was also very warm and welcoming and helped me get the right products. Looking forward to my next visit. Edit: Made an appointment several days ago with a particular stylist. Took time out of my day and off work to come in, only to be told that that stylist was no longer working there. Would have appreciated a phone call instead of coming all the way in, will likely go elsewhere now.

I came with a groupon for relaxer, deep condition, and hair cut I was treated the same as if I was paying full price. My hair has never looked so good. I can’t stop smiling! Two weeks later, the relaxer has my hair laid for days and the cut is the perfect length. I also got a lot of hair tips that are definitely making a big difference.

Now, I’m not a guy who goes to salons often, but this was a great experience. Lisa really fixed me up! She knew a lot about how I should be taking care of my new growth. I definitely recommend!

I try to refrain from leaving negative reviews but this is frustrating. I made an appointment for 10 AM on 11/18 at House of Hair. I even received a follow up confirmation via text! I’ve been here before and I really enjoy my stylist. I get to the salon on time and IT’S CLOSED. The hours posted on the door even say they open at 9:30 AM. That’s a lie clearly. I’m currently writing this while getting my hair done at another natural hair salon nearby. I have my graduation photos today and if I wasn’t able to grab another appointment I would have had to cancel that appointment too! Ugh, such a shame. Please be mindful of appointment times in the future.

I have been a long time client, I never had a bad experience until my last visit. I found out the long time staff members are all gone. Princess and Jackie are the most reliable and capable hairstylist this establishment has ever had.. Lisa is always late and there is no point in booking an early morning appointment with her. The owner never opens on time. I found myself outside waiting on her. Her work isn't nearly as good as Jackie's. I am so disappointed and angry. I even heard the message therapist left and now that Jackie and Princess are gone I will never come back here. They are falling apart without them and I know they will lose alot of clientele.

I love all the ladies at House of Hair., everyone is so pleasant and professional. The owner Lisa did an outstanding job on my color to cover the grey hairs, and then added some highlights. Loving my new look for 2019.
