African hair braiding by aua

My hair looks good. But the parts are definitely crooked and I told the girl she needed to clean them up. My hair was sticking out the braids already. To top it off!!! THEY HAVE ROACHES 🪳 Because she was the only girl there she wanted me to allow her to continuously let people cut in front of me instead of telling them to come back at a later time. I’ve never experienced anything like this! Update: Aua became mad because of the post and reached out to me!!! Terrible terrible customer service!!! And then blame ME because they have roaches! It’s the Audacity!! NASTY WORK!!

Never again. Went in for medium-sized knotless singles and left with 3 different sized braids in my hair. Called the owner, and all she said was "sorry."

Aua did so nice on my hair. She was quick and it did not hurt that much when she was braiding it. When I called to schedule my appointment, she was very nice telling me what kind of hair to get and disclosed the price over the phone. I recommend this service and I will return.

I was referred to this shop by a friend her braids were decent so I wanted to try them out The first time I went there I got 6 straight backs bra length the braids were nice my parts were terrible not one was straight So I messages Aua because I wanted them the done I couldn’t have her fix them that day because they were very tight and I couldn’t even deal with the pain. Aua said ok but I told her I wanted her to do them fast forward and the parts are better but still not straight and she still charged full price I didn’t expect the to be free but seriously Aua was the only in there with a decent attitude the rest were terrible

I Always Bring My 7 Year Old Here. All Braiders There Do A Great Job!

My hair looks good. I’m satisfied with how it came out. However I believe I should have gotten some sort of discount or accommodation. The first girl tasked to do my hair was very unprofessional. I believe her name is Kesha. - When I arrived I started to unbraid my hair as a COURTESY to help the process move faster. Kesha decided to sit down when she realized I started to do it myself. Once the owner asked her to get up and help me she rolled her eyes and sucked her teeth. SO UNPROFESSIONAL. - She complained and had poor body language from the time I arrived to the time I left. - When she started my hair she decided she didn’t like the hair I chose because she didn’t want to separate the individual strands for my butterfly loc style. She then asked me to leave to buy different hair that " should " have created the same style as well as braiding gel when I already had the hair I wanted. After leaving and returning to the salon to purchase the hair I realized it was not going to provide the intended results. All because she was too lazy to separate the hair I chose! This caused me to spend extra money on hair I never needed in the first place. I left and got in contact with the owner who agreed to do my hair the next morning. I was satisfied with the style and service from the owner. When it was time to pay I was still charged full price despite the experience I had the day before. I believe my time and money were stolen. I’m disappointed and angry in the service I received and will never return to this salon. I do not recommend this place unless it’s your last resort.

The ladies here provided great service and were very knowledgeable. I didn’t know much about the style I wanted and they were very helpful and made sure my hair came out looking incredible. Super pleased! Would totally recommend 🙂
