Elan Salon

I live in Gainesville and came down this past week to visit my mum. I haven't had a haircut in a few years and was looking to change up my style. My mum recommended John from Elan. What a treat!!! John checked in on me every step of the way and always tried to make the best choices for what I was looking for. He was attentive, personable, and exquisite. My hair looks the best that it has ever looked! I LOVE the result!!!!!!!! Cannot recommend him enough, I couldn't be happier :). The other stylists were excellent as well!!! You can't go wrong coming to Elan :). I can't wait to come back!

Highly recommend Elan Salon. You won't regret it! I couldn't be happier with my highlights. John went above and beyond. He listened to what I liked and delivered. I received a combination of highlights and balayage. I like it to look very natural, especially, when it's growing out. I have naturally curly hair and the cut looks great worn naturally or straight. He really is very knowledgeable AND talented. His daughter, Bella, does my daughters hair and it always looks great! My daughter is very adventurous with her color. I wish I was. I'll post some of her hair as well.

Elan Salons owner John has aloud a woman to sell toppers out of his salon knowing that she is ripping people off. I am out 1700 dollars after they all agreed the hair was a bad match , and said they would refund my money in full . Since April of 2025 I’ve been getting the run around and now decided it’s time to alert people to this salon and owners bad business practices and lack of integrity. Do your self a favor and stay away . Again, this has been going on since April of 2025 and even though I’ve asked for my refund, I haven’t seen a dime of my money .

Today was my first appointment with John. John corrected my hair color to exactly what I wanted. He listens to you and understands your preferences and applies his skill and expertise in giving you a fabulous result. He is a very talented colorist and stylist. I am beyond delighted to have found him and highly recommend John and his staff. PS I had one of the best shampoos and massage by Carla! I am so happy to have followed up on a recommendation of a stranger after admiring her hair while shopping. I am thrilled that I have finally found my salon! Andrea

This salon was incredible! They were able to get me in last minute which almost never happens anywhere else! John was my stylist. He listened to what I was looking for and even gave me some great ideas! I got a color and cut and it turned out perfect! Very clean and well kept salon… Highly recommend for men and women!!!

I have not been in salon in quite a while b/c I typically don't feel comfortable. I'm a T shirt and jean shorts kind of person. I found Elan Salon online while I was searching for hair toppers due to thinning hair - never a fun subject. I made an appt for hair topper consultation. While I was in the salon, the ladies helped me pick out the right type topper and John helped to find just the right color to suit my skin and eye color. I felt so comfortable with all of them and was so happy with the result. My new look is six inches shorter and such a lovely color. Couldn't be happier. - Gina S.

Another excellent experience at a local salon. Tara is a talented stylist who listens and is able to consistently give great cuts. At my age not too many of my friends still have hair, and I'm a little ocd as I'm blessed and wear it long. Beard and moustache trimming with a scissors, omg. Thank you again Tara.
