The Collab Salon

I have been going to the Collab salon for several years and have had nothing but incredible experiences. I have seen a variety of stylists and all provide the highest level of expertise and customer service. They truly go above and beyond (guidance, products, scheduling, personal connection, relaxation, expertise, etc) - I appreciate that they learn my specific hair preferences and styles to either give me the same great quality each time and/or help me explore ideas for when I feel like changing it up. Highly recommend!!

I love this salon! I’ve tried so many different styles over the years, from funkier cuts to simple layers. They always match me with a stylist who understands the vibe I’m going for. I’ve never had a bad haircut here, no matter who I see!

I have been seeing Emma since she was in school, and she is the only hairstylist I find myself wanting to return to again and again. She is friendly, fun, and always does an incredible job. It's obvious she loves what she does. I was super happy with the hair color she got me to--a bit darker than my natural color with a few highlights to give me some dimension. Emma is just the best!

I recently had my haircut with Riley at The Collab Salon in Bown Crossing, Boise, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. She started with a thorough consultation—asking thoughtful questions, listening carefully, and confirming exactly what I wanted. The results were incredible—truly the best haircut I’ve ever had. Riley didn’t take any shortcuts; she was meticulous and precise with every snip of her scissors. My hair now falls perfectly into place with no effort at all. If you’re looking for a stylist who combines skill, attention to detail, and genuine care for her clients, I highly recommend Riley!

**Edit 12/11/25: The owner did reach out to me to explain what happened over the summer. While I appreciated the conversation, I will not be changing my review as she had requested. This review is my experience and no explanation or apology can change that. I do not plan to return to this salon. People can take my review with a grain of salt and make their own decisions.** If I'd have written this review a year ago, it would have been five stars. I loved going to this salon, it was cute and friendly and my stylist was fantastic! Earlier this summer my stylist moved and the salon did not reach out to me to let me know that the appointment I'd had on the books for months couldn't happen (should my stylist have let me know, too? Yes, absolutely). I had to contact them when I saw on social media that my stylist had moved to another state. When I contacted the salon, they did not apologize for not reaching out nor did they acknowledge the inconvenience as I ended up having to reschedule my appointment with a different stylist (which defeated the purpose of making my appointment 2 months in advance, I had to take another day off of work to accommodate). I suspect that they may have let me know the day of or day before that my appointment would have to be cancelled, which does not seem right since they knew well in advance that I was on the books without a stylist. The new stylist was very sweet, but she had only been out of school for a month, and I did not feel like the amount of money I was charged matched her experience level, she also took a lot of extra time to complete my service. She did not meet my expectations for completing the process my old stylist and I had been working towards. Unfortunately, I had to find a new salon because ultimately, I did not feel that management was trustworthy. Several stylists have left this year. After going there every two months for a year and a half, on my last visit there was only one face that I recognized from previous visits. I hope that things turn around, but I won't be going back to find out.

This salon is top tier. The owners are involved and the girls pay attention to so many details. They made sure our hair matched our skin tone. Everyone was friendly and nice. I went in with a dumpster fire of hair and they suggested demi and I love it! It matches my natural hair. It’s been a few days and I love all the work they put in to fixing my hair.

✨ 5 Stars – Absolutely Amazing! ✨ From the moment I walked in, The Collab Salon made me feel so welcome. I was greeted with a smile and even offered a refreshing drink while I waited (which wasn’t long at all—my stylist was right on time!). I was taken straight to the chair, and let me tell you—this was hands down the best cut and color I’ve ever received. It was exactly what I needed and more. The attention to detail and the way my stylist listened made all the difference. And can we talk about the shampoo? It was like a mini spa massage—so relaxing! 💆‍♀️ I walked out feeling like a brand-new person, and I will definitely be back. If you’re looking for an incredible salon experience in Boise, The Collab is the place to go!
