Miranda is seriously the BEST. I have naturally curly hair and extensions, so I’m super picky about who I trust - but Miranda absolutely nails it every single time. She really understands curls (which is rare!) and knows exactly how to cut and shape them so they look healthy, defined, and effortless. My color always comes out gorgeous and blended perfectly, and she’s amazing at making everything look seamless with my extensions - no harsh lines, no mismatch, no weird separation. Just smooth, natural-looking hair that somehow still has tons of dimension and shine. On top of all that, she’s so sweet, professional, and genuinely listens to what you want while also giving expert advice. I always leave feeling confident and obsessed with my hair. If you’re looking for someone who’s talented, trustworthy, and knows curls + color + extensions like a pro… Miranda is the one. Highly recommend!

I got my hair done here a couple of months ago by Miranda, and I wanted to hop on and leave her a review before my next appointment. I’m seeing her again in a couple of weeks and I can’t wait! I typically only get my hair done once a year because it’s been hard to find someone who can both manage the length of my hair and truly execute my vision. Miranda exceeded my expectations on every level. Needless to say, I’ll not only be back in her chair soon, but I’m a customer for life. I’ve dropped some before & after photos incases anyone needs further convincing 😉

This is one of the most nicest salons in Bellevue. The whole staff is so sweet and accommodating. Miranda especially -she is the sweetest, talented, and professional hair stylist. Always cares about her clients and will go above and beyond. Listens to what you want and always comes up with amazing results. Her professionalism is impeccable!! You will not be disappointed! 💖

Miranda is the kind of person and stylist that you immediately feel not only comfortable with her styling your hair but as a person and a friend! It is the type of haircut that flies by because of the amount of fun and personal touches she adds to your experience. She is very confident and good in what she does, to say that customers will leave satisfied with their experience at the salon with her is an understatement. This salon is very lucky to have her!

I have been getting my hair done by Miranda for about two years now and could not recommended her enough! After having just moved to the area and leaving my long-time stylist (10+ years), I was worried I may never find someone as good of a fit. Miranda was the first person I tried here and have never wondered if I should keep looking. Not only is she very skilled technically, she is easy to talk to and someone I trust will do something I feel is great, even when I’m not sure exactly what I want. She has a very inviting professionalism and balances this well with a laid-back atmosphere where you can be honest and know she will listen. My only apprehension leaving this review is please don’t book up her schedule!

Mara at Joe Bae is amazing!! As someone who is very particular about what kind of blonde color I want, Mara nailed my dream color in an instant. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by the receptionist and asked if I would like anything to drink. Once Mara came out to grab me, she took me to her chair and we started chatting about what I love vs what I don’t love. I truly appreciated the fact that Mara took the time to ask me many in depth questions to ensure that we get the result needed. Then, Mara got her color mixed all up and good to go to start! Immediately starting my services, Mara made it a point to ask me occasionally if there was anything that I needed. After we rinsed out my hair, she asked me whether I would prefer my hair dried straight or curly. After my time with Mara was over with, I checked out at the receptionist desk, and the receptionist thanked me for coming in and told me that she appreciated me! All around, this has by far been my most favorite and comfortable salon experience.

Miranda was recommended by Carole, an acquaintance. Unfortunately, due to Miranda's lack of experience or skill set, I received a rushed 10 minute haircut that included (1) a mullet/shag that I did not request - no blending of the side layers to frame the face and to the back, and (2) scratches on my left and right check bones that had a bit of blood and left a scar on my left cheekbone due to Miranda's long sharp nails for a Halloween costume that she was preparing for that night. I was reluctant to provide this negative review because I just wanted to forget the bad experience and overall the Joe Bae Salon has a great front desk team and the owner is very kind. However, I did not want others to have a bad experience from this stylist, e.g., a bad haircut and/or any scars to one's face. On a positive note, when I explained why I cancelled my next appointment with Miranda, the front desk associate was professional, kind and gracious. Last week, a more experienced stylist at another salon with true skills fixed my hair last week due to Miranda's damage. It is too bad that the scar that Miranda caused due to her long Halloween costume nails will not completely heal.
