I had a lovely experience for my first ever perm. I got a wavy digital perm & had a consultation a week before. I have fine & thick long hair that tends to be mostly straight. The perm process took 3.5 hours and was $350 and worth every penny! They warned me that bleached hair (even my partial balayage that I got done over a year ago) may not hold a perm well so they did cut about an inch and a half off my ends and made several layers. I trusted them through the process & my hair grows fast so I wasn’t worried about it being short. They threw in free curl cream and gave me instructions on how to care for the hair. I feel like the root perm really helped give me volume and allows me to wash my hair far less often! And my hair still feels soft & does not seem damaged at all. The wave is so nice and voluminous, I’m very pleased with it. I feel like a new person in the best way! Windy and her associate were sweet and warm and efficient. I’ll absolutely be back!

My second digital perm at Windy Hair Salon! She is an expert and I never regret my decision to trust her with my hair. Both ladies are so nice and they prioritize what you want from the appointment. Photos don’t really do it justice, my hair is so much more full now. I have naturally flat and straight hair. The price is well worth the transformation and now my hair is low maintenance because I no longer have to spend time styling it with a curling iron. Highly recommend!

Min and Windy both worked on my hair and were incredibly thoughtful and considerate about checking in on things like piercings and potential scalp sensitivities to make sure I was comfortable the entire time. They took the time to explain the process, shared helpful insight about my hair, and walked me through the cut so I always knew what was happening. The trim turned out exactly how I wanted. They were both so sweet, welcoming, and clearly very skilled at what they do. You can tell they have close relationships with their clients and genuinely care about their work. Prices were very reasonable, and the little touches (like offering gummy bears!) made the experience even better. I left very happy with my results and will definitely be coming back!"

Windy and the other lady did a really great job with my perm! They were both very nice, and Windy showcased her decades of experience! There were other folks who went there during my appointment seemed to be regulars who love Windy. So that says something. Glad to have found a go-to in Austin!

I had originally found Windy off of a Reddit recommendation for salons that can do Asian men’s perms really well - I’ve been coming back ever since! They are always so incredibly kind and treat me well, they take great care in their work and it really shows in the final product. I’m always left excited to show off my perm once I leave, I’ll be coming back for a while!

I just got my haircut, for the second time, with Wendy and I absolutely love it! She truly listens to your needs. Not only is she super talented, but she’s also SO kind and professional! She made me feel comfortable the whole time. I walked out feeling confident and happy with my hair! Highly recommend Wendy if you’re looking for a stylist who truly cares about her clients!

I received a digital perm from Windy, and it turned out amazing and I had a wonderful experience. Windy and the young lady working with her were so kind and considerate. Scheduling was super easy and quick and they made sure I had all of the necessary information before coming in. A few things to be aware of if you're considering getting a perm here: - For anyone with long hair, they will probably strongly suggest allowing them to add layers to your hair. It's a very important step to making the curls look their best. - I had another perm over a year ago at another salon, and my hair still feels very healthy after my second perm. I will just say it is necessary to condition, avoid heat tools when possible, and generally take care of your hair better than virgin hair. I did already have some split ends only a week after, but I'm making sure to focus conditioner on my ends. It's not recommended that you get a perm if you've had any kind of bleaching done in the last few years. - If you have neck/back pain, be aware that the curlers can become heavy depending on the thickness of your hair, and can cause strain. - I have thick hair and my appointment was almost 4 hours long, but that's because there are a lot of steps, and they are very thorough and considerate throughout the process. - Windy gave me a free bottle of Korean conditioning curl cream as I was leaving, and she was so sweet about it. I had a wonderful experience overall! That's all I can think of! I highly recommend going to Windy if you're considering getting a perm, just make sure you do your research!
