I had a great experience with my hairstylist, Olesia, I went in for hair smoothing services. She took the time to assess my hair, clearly explained my options, and gave honest recommendations based on what was best for my hair. I’m very happy with the results. I haven’t had the best experiences with hair services for South Asian hair in the past, but Olesia was extremely knowledgeable and handled my hair beautifully. She was patient, gentle, and mindful of time and cost. Highly recommend her! The staff were also very friendly, which made the entire experience even better.

Cannot give this place enough praise. Start to finish, every detail they take amazing care of you. I have seen both Carsen and Laurie at this point for blowouts and scalp treatments, and truly recommend each of them for these services and feel confident the other services they offer I’m sure are also fantastic. I have very difficult, very fine, tangle prone hair. it is very hard for me to find a place that doesn’t rip through my hair when detangling and styling, or simply dump detangler in it where it falls flat and has no volume and is greasy the next day. They take the time to do it and do it right. Not to mention Natasha and the front desk team so happy, hard working, and welcoming. Coming for blowouts has been a highlight and can’t wait to make this more of a ritual. Thank you, so much, to the team!

This place is amazing! I was in need of a last minute blowout and they saved the day. I was booked with Katie and she made me feel great in a little under an hour. I have hair that frizzes at the thought of humidity, but it was no match for her magic hands. My hair stayed gorgeous for 2 whole days (which is a feat). Natasha was the one who fit me in and showed me around and she's half the reason I can't wait to come back for a haircut soon! She was so kind and personable and you could tell she had a vested interest in the company. They're downtown in a super convenient location which you can't beat. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a new stylist or your hair done while in town! 🙂

Don’t go anywhere else. This salon has an upscale environment with loads of hospitality! I’m floored by the talent and the ongoing education that keeps the team a step ahead of trends in the beauty industry. Janet, the owner, brings a blend of charming New Orleans roots with her experience of living as a New Yorker to every service! She’s very intelligent and highly technical when it comes to hair and cutting. She’s been trained by THE BEST in the industry and has even done hair for Oscar de la Renta and Ralph Lauren at NYFW. ✨🤩✨

Been going to Janet St Paul Studio since my previous hair stylist retired. Worth it. Thank you, Katie, for taking care of my hair every year! This studio is professional and their customer service can't be beat. I love that they also uplift continued education, which is important in my eyes. Keep up the awesome work!

UPDATE (April 2019) - Jessica did permanent eyeliner (semi-permanent tattoo) on me, and I am IN LOVE!!! I'm a mom and work from home, so I rarely put on makeup anymore but with the permanent eyeliner it looks like it's always on! I love it - ready to do my lips next. The stylists at Janet St. Paul Studio really took the time to understand my lifestyle, preferences and help me choose a cut that would frame my face and highlight my features in the best possible way. It ends up I was parting my hair the wrong direction! This was also my first experience getting Balayage done, and I absolutely love how it turned out. The new salon downtown is also beautiful! What an amazing experience.

This salon is such a vibe! Tara cut my hair, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. I hadn’t had a haircut in a few years and was a little nervous coming in, but the entire staff was so warm and welcoming that I instantly felt at ease. I’ll definitely be back to see Tara!
