Hair Mission

I went to Ken for my first professional haircut in years. I have extremely thick hair and am used to being told it’s going to cost extra because of the additional time needed. Not Ken. He has serious skills and worked fast - like 30 minutes - when other stylists usually take over an hour. I’m thrilled with my cut. Thanks Ken!

Ken has been cutting my family’s hair for years. He is responsive and accommodating even when he has indecisive clients… We are so fortunate to have found Ken. If you can get in, he is amazing! His new office is in the Salon Lofts next to the Hallmark store in the arboretum.

Was able to make a same day apt because I called early and I was flexible. Went in for a trim but hadn’t cut my hair in a year, Ken gave me an amazing haircut and I’m super happy with my hair! He’s a very kind and friendly guy who cares about what you want, highly recommend him and whenever I am back in Austin I will visit him again! Thank you Ken!!

I NEVER write google reviews… or yelp or whatever. But I just went to see Ken today for a single process color and cut. My hair is dark brown but I wanted a little bit darker and showed him a photo of what I’ve had in the past. He nailed the color with a single look and cut my hair so fast and strategically, all the while being completely enjoyable and relatable to talk to. While my hair was processing, he had two other patrons come in at different times for their haircuts (2 men’s hair cuts) and let me know he didn’t forget about me on the other side whilst taking care of them. I have (we’ll I guess had) very, very long hair that had not been cut in over a year. Ken got rid of my dead, limp hair while maintaining my desire for long hair. When seeing someone else a while back, they charged me $475 (without tip) for a cut and single process color of the same if not worse quality than what Ken provided. Ken charged me much less than $475 Fantastic value and service. I’m glad I read the google reviews. I will, without a doubt, be back again. Thanks Ken!

I was so lucky to find Ken many years ago. I’d been butchered at Supercuts and the like for years, but Ken is a master of his craft. Perfect cut every time! Ken is a one-man show, but very personable and will always do whatever he can to accommodate me. Coming to Ken feels like visiting a good friend and I always look forward to the experience. Quiet atmosphere, great vibes and a fantastic haircut. Thanks, Ken!

Ken is my go to always as long as I stay in Austin. He always does an amazing job and I feel so refreshed every time I leave his salon. He’s super funny, friendly and always consistent in his styling skills. Definitely recommend! Going back again soon!

Ken was great. He is extremely nice and was fun to talk to while getting my hair cut. But most importantly, he cut my hair to look exactly like my inspo pic! Loved my experience here and will definitely be coming back. Would highly recommend.
