Jimmy is a master at his craft and one of the few barbers who truly understands Asian hair. From day one, he took the time to analyze my head shape, hair texture, and even pointed out issues from a previous haircut. He explained everything clearly and made me feel confident right away. You can tell he’s genuinely passionate about what he does—every cut is intentional, and he’s focused on making sure you leave looking your best. He’ll give you exactly what you want, but he’s also honest and offers helpful feedback on what he thinks will suit you even better. He even gives styling tips so you can recreate that fresh-out-of-the-salon look at home. I’m terrible at explaining what I want but he understood and nailed it. Every cut since has been consistently top-tier. I don’t have to say anything when I come back and he just remembers and delivers. He’s receptive to feedback if you ever want to change it up. If you want a barber/stylist who pays attention to detail, cares about his work, and truly wants you to look good, Jimmy is your guy. Highly recommend!

I've been going to Jimmy for a couple years now. There are many, many reviews describing Jimmy's skills with the scissors, and learning peoples hair to give them a perfect cut. That stuff is all true, but more importantly Jimmy is a good person you will enjoy getting to know over time. Getting a quality haircut is key, but finding someone you want to sit with consistently to get that quality cut is ultimately more important. Highly recommended!

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Jimmy at California Cuts for a while now, and he’s genuinely one of the best stylists I’ve ever worked with. What stands out most is how intentional he is with his recommendations. He didn’t just give me a random cut, he suggested a style that fit my face, my lifestyle and career and how I actually wear my hair day to day. What I really appreciate is that he didn’t try to overhaul everything at once. Instead, he helped me evolve my haircut over time, making small, smart adjustments each visit. Ive tried barbers all around the world , cities like New York and others but Jimmy has been the best of best! he is not only very skilled but he takes in consideration your opinion.
