Save your money — I don’t recommend. I went to get my hair done, and while it looked okay at first, it wasn’t what I wanted. I decided to let it go, but later noticed some of my hair was coming out and a few braids were messed up. When I reached out, I was told it could be fixed, but after a lot of back and forth, delays, and no communication, I got fed up and stopped trying. It’s very unprofessional and frustrating to pay so much money and still end up with bad service. Lesson learned — I won’t be booking here again or recommending this place.

Everyone was mentioning this shop in the comment section of a TikTok video so I decided to give them a chance. I booked small mid back braids with Astou at the Antioch location and I’m so glad I did. I love my braids!! I’m use to sitting in the chair for over 10 hrs and still not being happy with my hair but she achieved the style in 4. She gave me reg box braids that were still flat and neat. I knew I was going to love my hair as soon as she asked if I wanted curved parts or square ( I hate square). I can’t wait to treat myself with another style.

I get my daughter's hair done here. We have had scheduling issue. And we travel from SF to Antioch so we have been late due to traffic before. But I never care because they do an amazing job.

I made a reservation in advance online and paid the deposit fee, which goes toward the service, the website was very simple and clear. Immediately after booking I received a confirmation email. Today I showed up for my appointment and the stylist was there waiting, I didn’t have to wait on her. She was very nice and professional even while handling other responsibilities including: attending to others who walked in with appointments, walk-in’s, questions, she even took phone calls. But again, she did all of this while remaining professional. I took a chance on this shop as I’d never been, wasn’t referred and haven’t had braids in YEARS. I just wanted braids for my beach vacation…but I’ll be going back! I love my hair (waist-length medium knotless). My braids are not too tight and are exactly what I wanted. I added a picture of my roots, very neat in my opinion. I also loved hearing all the ladies laugh and sing the whole time, they have fun while working and it makes for a good client experience. I have been coming here for a while. My beginning experience would be a 5, but the service has gotten a little less than. All of the ladies are polite, but moat are always on their phones, texting while braiding which is a huge distraction and causes them to not do your hair good. It's okay to take a call, but when it's every few minutes and they are stopping your hair, that is not good service and makes your appointment longer. The other reason for the low stars is because with the exception of Aicha mostly all the ladies are late and don't honor what Kadi has put on her website as her promise which ultimately makes her look bad because it's her business. But I haven't stopped going yet, but if this continues I will find a new shop.

Service was amazing! Definitely will be going back she did an excellent job with my stitch braids. It was my first time going and she made me feel super comfortable and it was a great experience!

Both my daughters and I have gone here for services. The takedown was good, but the wash and blow dry was not. I finished with an itchy scalp and damp hair. More importantly, the braiders are unfortunately not consistent. Some are just better than others, but you don't know until it's too late. A 6 hour Boho mid-back braid install that I got for one daughter a few weeks ago, took over 8 hours today for my other daughter with less hair, and the finished style looked very different. My daughter described the look as a "long bob". She came home in tears. It's frustrating to hate your hair after sitting for so many hours. There also always seems to be an issue with the grand total not being what was quoted. I've emailed ahead for clarification on costs, and never get replies. Overall, the professionalism is lacking, especially considering the cost of the service. I usually pay over $300 each time my girls get their hair done there. That said, Astou is phenomenal! If you manage to book her you're in good hands.
