Whole Foods Market

Signage in isles can be better. Looking for juice no sign. Store was clean but cluttered.

Whole shelves empty! Virtually no bagels in a New York store! Is there a manager? Do they understand how to run a store?

I get my groceries delivered from this Whole Foods and they have a wonderful selection! The produce and fruits are always top notch. They also have some very good prepared meals that you can just throw in the microwave which is super easy.

Happened to be in the area and so went to this branch of whole foods market. My usual whole foods is in Manhattan. I was really surprised, I'm not in a good way. The physical layout of the store creates a number of bottlenecks when the store is crowded. There seem to be a lot more prepackaged foods than in my usual store, and some services, like asking for half a loaf of bread, we're dismissed by employees as not being available. I would have expected a suburban store to be bigger and better laid out and have better service but the opposite is true.

I gave Whole Foods this rating not because of the quality of the store but for the quality of one rude employee! It was Christmas Eve evening and I say that because everyone's spirit should be nice. Well "Dawn" was definitely the Grinch! It was crowded and I only asked was she open? She didn't even look up from what she was doing. Her response was, in a very rude manner, "GIVE ME A MOMENT MA'AM "! She never said she was open or not. I moved to another line where the mood was definitely different and welcoming from a clerk named Tiffany. I thanked her for being so nice and checked out. But it left a very bad taste in my mouth on Christmas Eve with the rudeness Dawn gave! This world need more kindness, thank you Tiffany.

See below for update: Fresh Meat and Fish section smells like chemicals too early in the day. Went at 6pm to pick up some fresh salmon. Walked up to the fish section at 6:04pm to two gentleman in white lab coats mopping the floor with so much bleach and cleaning chemicals that the smell of chemicals just hit me in the face and made me want to vomit. 🤮 The store closes at 9pm. Other stores clear the fresh meat section an hour before closing. I have NEVER smelled chemicals at Port Chester, Greenwich, Stamford But every time I come to the White Plains Store the Fresh meat section smells like Ajax. I get it, they have to clean. But at 6:04 pm on a Sunday? Three hours before closing. I live two blocks away and never come here because of this. I go to the Stamford Store. What is the manager going to say? Stop cleaning? But that stench is hurting their bottom line because I spend a good $60 every two weeks on salmon and fresh meat. Update: While waiting outside for my Uber, I noticed that there is a cheesecake factory next to the Whole foods. I am a doctor. They HAVE to constantly clean because if they don't then they will get vermin from restaurant next door. The department of health will shut the place down if they don't. if someone were to see a mouse scurry across the floor it would be GAME OVER. THUS THEY NEED TO CONSTANTLY CLEAN. IT IS A MUST. THEY HAVE TO CLEAN CONSTANTLY CLEAN. THEY ARE DAMNED IF THEY DO AND DAMNED IF THEY DON'T

I accidentally went to a check out where the light was off and the cashier was leaving. Michael, who was helping out with bagging jumped in and checked me out so that I didn't have to pack up my stuff and head to another line. He was very friendly and helpful. Made for a great experience. Thanks.
