I come here maybe once a month. When I first started coming here after moving here in 2024, they always loaded my groceries in my cart for me. They don't anymore. The last three times I've had to do it. I'd understand if I was checking myself out, but I was not. I'm almost a senior who has had surgery because of nerve pain. They always load my groceries at Hy-Vee and Trader Joe's. When I asked if they load groceries, that question was ignored, so I did it again. That gal even asked me where my cart was. What? It's right in front where it should be. I pointed to it. There was even an employee, a young man, at the next checkout who had no one in his lane, and he walked away. I don't mind doing it if I'm not in pain, but I shouldn't have to ask. Your prices are high, so I'd think it was complimentary. I gave 3 stars because there are friendly employees. One young man always says hello. That's very nice.
This store is a once or twice a year type of store. It’s pricey and has a warehouse style/feel. Cement floors and it’s always cold. Half the items I feel like don’t have a price and any "clearance" items are still expensive. I feel like it’s fun to find a couple unique gifts/treasures during seasonal times or kind of fun to explore the foreign foods to try or gift but again it’s pricey and not really a place most people would visit often. They sell alcohol which I find a little interesting as it feels like an odd random selection compared to what’s all in the store. Currently they have a rewards program and I had a 15% coupon for signing up as it’s free and I went to see if I could find any treasures. We didn’t find much and a lot of things were picked over or put in the wrong spot. The staff doesn’t seem super friendly and if you see any on the floor they tend to ignore you - we saw probably 8 staff members on the floor moving merchandise and not one person said hello, smiled or asked if we needed help finding anything. The cashiers carried this place and were great. I’m good on this place for another year maybe longer.
Higher prices than other local grocery stores, but i have amazon prime, so the discounts make up for it. I love this store for their helpful and knoeledgable staff, their fresh produce and bakery! Also hot food by the pound if you ever need a quick bite. My overall experience at whole foods has never let me down
It’s the Lenten Season and what better place to view a wide selection of seafood options. I grabbed the " Atlantic Salmon" simply beautiful piece of fish. I could not help myself after seeing the prime meat selections, but ask the butcher to cut 3 pounds of their delectable "Prime Rib." The whole place is a kaleidoscope of seafood heaven with a great selection of different options to satisfy your creative menu.
I love having a Whole Foods market here but the customer service here is always below average. Compared to other cities and locations this should just not be acceptable. Today I was told that my phone wasn't bright enough to read the In store code from the Amazon app even though it was on full brightness. I have never had luck scanning a code and instead of taking accountability they blame it on the customers spending money there. This is just one example that in my opinion is not good customer service.
Be careful with grocery delivery here. All of our refrigerated food got delivered over 60 deg & it all has to be thrown out now. There were 5 deliveries ahead of us & groceries sat in the trunk of a car for an hour & a half during delivery process. There were also numerous items substituted that we asked not to be. And this is not the first time we've had an issue. Super disappointed that they can't figure operations out & clearly things are not getting better. Shop yourself or go elsewhere.
I enjoy going to Whole Foods every now and then. Last week I popped in in the hopes they had some brisket, as it wasn’t showing up online, and I was pleasantly surprised. The guy at the butchery counter helped me out, he also cut off a large chunk of the fat, and wrapped it really nicely. Today I went in as I saw the kombucha I like was on special, so was worth the visit. I don’t do all my shopping here, but there are specific items I’ll make the trip for.
