99 Ranch Market

Van Nuys 99 Ranch Market has a HUGE Seafood section with many tanks of live fish, crabs and lobsters swimming around (you can't get fresher than that!) plus other fresh and frozen seafood in their counters and freezers. This store carries a wide selection of brands, a big produce section with many Asian vegetables and fruits you cannot find in regular stores. They also have a bakery section with delicious desserts near the entrance plus a hot food deli where you can get BBQ duck, char siu, choose entrees, noodle or rice dishes, vegetable and side dishes to go. Refrigerated cases have many kinds of tofu, noodles, pickles, fish balls, etc to choose from. I also like this store for bulk packages of spices like cinnamon sticks, cloves, Five Spice Powder (that actually has a blend of 8 different aromatic spices I love) that I use for cooking and teas. Carries many different brands of soy sauce, sauces, rice, teas and other Asian staples. Asian brand personal care items (shampoos, cosmetics, hygiene products) and just about every flavor of Spam (for my friend who was having a hard time finding spicy Korean flavor Spam). ❤️ love the 99 Ranch Market!

Great place to buy a whole fresh fish and they will fry it for you! They sell so many authentic Chinese groceries, including fresh vegetables, dry and liquid seasonings if you cook, a large variety of frozen dumplings and Ramen. Their bakery selection is fair. The buffet style deli at the back has a good selection, including cha sui pork, to pick up a fresh cooked meal if you don't feel like cooking. It's a great place for Chinese groceries!

The store is excellent fresh sea food fresh vegetables and fruits then much more items in store. Foods also serve here.

I live in the west valley and the only big chinese super market is this one. This one I went. There was a sale ford blueberries $3.99/16 oz only for the weekend. There wasn’t any. I went to the bathroom. There are 2 unisex bathrooms. The first one I opened the door and there was a pool of dark stagnant water . There wasn’t any sign to say it is closed for repair. I saw these large eggs for a decent price. $2.29. There were 4 this on this small shelf. I opened each one. There is at least 1 egg with crack shell. I finally found one that has all 12 eggs. I bought one whole roast duck. The guy who cut it , didn’t cut it into pieces but enormous trunks. The prices are in general very high. What do I think of this store ? If I have a choice, I wouldn’t go there. This is as disgusting as I have ever seen in decades of shopping around the west valley and including Monterey Park/Alhambra/San Gabriel Valley. I sure wish that some other supermarket will open in the west valley.

Love this place if you make Chinese food they have everything. Stuff you can't find anywhere else. For example, they have Szechuan peppercorns, black bean paste, and everything else to make your favorite Chinese dish. Very reasonably priced and if you happen to be into seafood they have tanks of live fish that they will clean and cook for you or you can take them home and cook them yourself. This is a real Chinese market.

Deli is hidden in the back. No tables and seats. Bakery is in the front. But the food in the deli is delicious.

Big store with a huge variety of fresh, packaged, canned, refrigerated and frozen Asian foods, as well as other international food items. Lots of fresh and frozen meats and seafood, with full-service butcher and seafood counters. So many aisles full of produce, snacks, canned and packaged goods from all over, and many sauces and desserts you won't find in many places. Great place!
