Kimpo Oriental Market

My husband and I recently visited Kimpo Market in Tucson, and we had such a great experience. After searching several places for specific Korean items without much luck, we were thrilled to find everything we needed here. The store is small but well-stocked with a variety of Korean products and snacks. The owner, a kind and helpful gentleman, made us feel very welcome and assisted us in finding everything we were looking for. We ended up purchasing a lot of snacks and were really impressed with the selection. If we had brought an ice chest for the drive back to Tombstone, we definitely would have bought even more! Lots of authentic Asian food. Cracks me up they still use the term Oriental market as we've been told not to use it, but the gentleman who owns it is Korean and doesn't intend to change it. 😊 I bought some pastries. They are good, the powdered one is better but they have beans in them along with custard.

Small but best Asian market with variety of choices on snacks, ramen, and produce. I enjoy their homemade kimchi, gimbap, and other side dishes the owner makes every week. Feels great to support a local small business and able to have all my favorite Korean snacks stocked up at all times!

Fresh produce, traditional snacks, and essential pantry items like kimchi, tteokbokki, and a variety of noodles (all of which are my personal favorites) are neatly arranged, making it easy to find what you need. Their kimchi are my favorites, especially the ones that are made in house and are available on specific days of the week. I highly recommend the cucumber, radish, and of course the cabbage kimchi! It is easily one of my favorite kimchi I've ever had. It is fresh and has just the right amount of spice, heat and sourness. It is absolutely delicious!
