Green Island Market

Absolutely loved this store! It’s wonderful to have a nearby store with such a great selection of quality herbs. I also appreciate how it’s not such a big store so it’s not super overwhelming to look over everything they have. If you need Ginseng, this is your place! If you need TCM herbs locally look no further. They also have a nice selection of snacks, food and frozen goods (some ice creams which were difficult to find elsewhere in the other local Asian markets such as the lemon ice cream I was searching for). They have plenty of dried fruits as well, teas and items such as tangerine puerh balls (next visit I will have to try theirs). The cashier was also very nice and offered me a sample of the brown sugar candied ginger which was very good and fresh. She was also kind to make sure I knew how to brew the tea I was purchasing (it was a tea for cold/flu) and as there was a language barrier, she had used her phone to let me know it was bitter (which I was fine with). This was very nice of her to go out of her way to do though, just in case I did not know or did not like bitter. More people would benefit from going here and purchasing these types of herbs for their ailments. Very good service. I will be back.
