H Mart Somerville

Very clean unlike all other HMarts. And the size is quite big too even with low ceilings. Their take out food section is decent including banchan except for baked goods. Parking is surprisingly good on either street with metered parking.

I visited this location for the first time the other day (weekday) and was impressed by the store. The layout of the store makes navigating it quite easy and pleasant, and I was impressed by how much they could fit into the space without it being chaotic. The store was well-stocked and clean, and the staff were busy restocking the shelves and cases. I went in for thin sliced meat for hot pot, marinated beef for bulgogi, housing sauce, and some soft tofu. I was able to find all the items easily and was tempted to add some sushi/sashimi grade fish to my basket. I have been to the locations in Burlington, Quincy, Brookline, and Cambridge, too, especially the Burlington one. I would rate the Somerville location as my 2nd favorite one, because it's bigger, has a food area, and has a parking lot

Great place to shop for Asian food. They just opened this store and they already are doing a great job. Awesome variety of items. Better than the Indian store down the street.

You guys always sell stuff that is expired. Or expires just days after purchasing. It happened 3 times now where I buy kimchi or seaweed that goes bad really fast. Please Make sure to check your inventory dates please.

Out of control selection of ingredients. Everything from the bonkers high end: wagyu beef and uni (sea urchin) to great, cheap options for Asian cooking staples like fish sauce. Fun to try some of the random ingredients (like cacao pods) or try to finagle a deal (buying the salmon skin which is super cheap but still has a lot of meat to eat)

Take my money! Great selection of Asian produce, snacks, meat, seafood! Love the little cute stationary/ home goods/ plushies section. Staffs were also very nice and efficient.

I would like to raise this serious complaint regarding misappropriate handling of food at Davis Square location. As you can see in the picture along with the receipt the rubber was melted while the chicken was oven cooked and sold as it is. The issue is the rubber was attached during the oven baking process and all the chicken cooked with it are contaminated. I had to throw the entire chicken in trash. Synthetic rubber is toxic to health and contamination with food may cause serious health issue. I would like to request you to take this matter seriously and pass it along to the Davis Square location and warn the team not to do such mistake in future.
