We came here via recommendation from a friend who lives in San Jose. Before that, we always take grocery trips to 99 Ranch markets, in any store of the are we’re close at the time. This store was mediocre. There’s produce area, meat area, dry products, canned goods, and beverages. There’s no bakery or hot food deli area though. It’s like Vietnamese market with some mixup from Spanish. There’s 3 languages there: Vietnamese, English and Spanish. What we found good about Lion market was they have a variety of vegetables that is familiar with Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine. However, you cannot store them for long periods. For example, I bought some bean sprouts but they became rotten pretty quick. All of them. The result, I threw them all. The same goes for other veggies. Some has starting to have rotten parts. The meat was okay, but some have questioning color. Thus, I only bought 2 packs of meat. I found some Vietnamese products that has sales promotion, cheaper than other supermarket brands, but some products are higher. The worst part was they don’t accept Apple Pay or Tap. We have to use physical cards. That’s okay if the swiping function works. When we paid, the swiping function wasn’t working. The cashier told us to use the inserting function and input our pins. My husband declined and paid with cash. Later, my husband explained to me in the car that their old model card reader seemed to be broken and manual fixing with clear tapes. He worried about the security of the system, so he’d rather use cash. We’re not fond of carrying big cashes with us and always try to avoid cash only shops unless necessary. Now, good thing is that we don’t purchase much this time.

First time I have been to this Lion market. It's layed out a bit different and had to ask for mabo sauce, asked three people and the last person knew what I was looking for and helped me right away. Over all its pretty much the same experience as the other Lion markets I've been to. Fresh produce, meat counter where you can get the amount you want of any certain meats, you can find cookware, dinnerware, packaged foods, snacks, cleaning products, frozen foods. It's been a while since I have been into a Lion market so some of the prices seemed a little higher than I expected.

We found the atmosphere warm and inviting subtle Asian decor and soft lighting created a relaxed vibe while we browsed. The gentle background music and tidy layout made our visit feel pleasant and unhurried

Only market around here with good chicarron and friendly. Butchers. Doesnt have the loud annoying music like the other Lions market.

This store is like a mix between asian/chinese foods and mexican foods. Really strange mix but Im obsessed with all the food they sell. Masks are required but I didnt give this place 5 stars because they didnt limit the amount of people in the store and it was crowded.

Great store good selection of items.. The owner really needs to clean the bathrooms they're so dirty and gross. It reflects on their cleaning practices throughout the other parts of the store

Lion Supermarket has multiple locations, including Story Rd and McLaughlin, offering a variety of Asian ingredients, fresh produce, and specialty items. The selection is great, though some locations have better organization than others. The produce section is well-stocked, and the seafood selection is decent, though cleanliness and customer service can vary by location. If you need authentic Asian groceries, Lion Supermarket is a convenient stop.
