This place RULES! prices are great. Selection isn’t overwhelming and I love how small the space is. It makes me feel like I’m not in America. They have the cutest dishes, bowls, cups, and all sorts of neat goodies. I make my own Taré and it was nice to see they have a decent selection of Mirin’s, soy sauces, Saké, and Japanese beers!! Plus a great variety of curry bouillons. I also LOVE that they have authentic Japanese literacy by the front door. I wish I knew how to read Japanese. The Onigiri is awesome too. Very tasty! Love this place and will surely be going back!!

The best Japanese store in the states!! I can't believe they could keep such great prices. The inside is clean and has no smell at all. Items are well organized and they are great selections! The rest room is also open for customers. We can't go to any other Asian market for Japanese food anymore. This place is way too awesome! If you are looking for Japanese stuff, this is only where I seriously recommend out of all the places I've been to!

We lived near Tokyo for about 4 years and adored every minute. Exploring this tiny shop was a real treat that triggered wonderful memories. If you are looking for a place to get your Nippon fix, this is the place for you.

Frozen Japanese staples like natto and Japanese sweets, Japanese snacks, tea, rice, some vegetables, sauces, spices, and even seeds to grow your own Japanese vegetables.

Solid grocery store converting all the Japanese grocery essentials. They carry all forms sauce, many varieties of short and medium grain rices (I had trouble finding long grain), curries, and noodles. Their snack section also carries a few fun items to try. Be sure to keep your eye out when you drive up because they're a bit tough to see from the street.

Have been coming to this Japanese store since they were one of the only places to get Japanese groceries in San Antonio. Having lived in Japan for many years, it's always great to get some of traditional Japanese groceries and snacks. Service is always great. Wide range of groceries, snacks, and candies. It's not the largest store, but they have all the staples and all the popular items you would expect. Prices are very reasonable, especially for being imports. Good customer service, good selections, and good prices.

To all you haters who have negative comments about this store ... my family and I like this store, above all the other stores! Your complaints about the aisles being too narrow ... lose some weight! Be happy the store is not in Japan or any of the Asian countries. The Asian shops are smaller. But the customers are smaller and slimmer than most of our overweight citizens in CONUS. I have never witnessed or experienced any discrimination. We are in an interracial marriage too. Prices may be a bit higher, but they are worse at the other stores. Overseas it's cheaper in some items, but they do not pay overseas taxes or subject to shipping costs. Personally we appreciate you staying away! That enables my family, friends and I to continue shopping there without friction from your kind.
