Filipino Market & Cafe

It has been a while since I ate there, but I ate at the Filipino Market and Cafe and had their authentic turo turo style or buffet. It was wonderful. The rice was like Jasmine or aromatic. They had rare dishes I liked very much such as Filipino curry, but popular adobo dishes, as well. I suggest you try it out. I think this place is underrated, and well worth a visit.

Unfortunately this is my second time at this location and they require a $10 minimum on all card purchases, but the sign at their register says ONLY on credit card purchases. It is illegal to require a minimum purchase amount or charge a fee on any debit card purchase in the state of Maryland. I will be filing a compliant with the Maryland attorney general’s office on Monday.

Neat little market where you can get Filipino ingredients that I wasn't able to find at other Asian markets - such as ube extract, pandan extract, and ube flavored ice cream. They also serve hot food and bakery items.

Small Filipino market selling mostly food items. There is also a "cafe" where you can get Filipino dishes and eat in.

Hands down for their delicious Dinuguan, I’ve tried multiple places and nothing taste as good as this location cooks it, perfection

The owner of this Filipino Market and Cafe in Rockville, MD refused to replace the overpriced banana catsup at whopping $7.50 after it fell off the plastic bag and broke After leaving the store. The cashier simply packed all items I purchased worth $48.99 In one cheap plastic bag. We immediately returned to the store and demanded to replace it. The cashier didn't have authorization and called the owner and after talking to her and explaining what happened didn't want to replace it stating we should have requested to double the bag!! What!! It's their responsibility to properly pack items and wrap them in paper especially if it's a glass. She argued customers sometimes don't like a bag cause it's cost .05 cents. But she should have offered, right? Does she think I care if she charged me .10 cents after wasting $7.50 for a normally priced $3.00 for a banana catsup! Cause she's the one bagging. Filipino attitudes have not changed and it's a shame they rather disrespect their customers instead of honoring them for continued patronage. They just lost a customer!! You're not the only store in town. And I will reach out to FDA and report why this banned product (red dye found in banana catsup) is still in her shelf. Clearly the owner jacked up the prices to take advantage of this high demand and low supply of banana catsup. Price gouging!
