Popped in here for a plate of samosa chaat and a mango lassi. What a find - the flavours are what you’d expect in an top-notch restaurant. The staff are lovely too. Ridgewood is lucky to have this absolute gem of a place.
Great shop to grab a bite and stock up on Indian cooking essentials
I ordered a quick lunch from this place through Uber Eats—it’s essentially a deli-slash-grocery, though I didn’t visit in person. I went with two dishes: Jhol Momo and chicken curry with rice. The Jhol Momo, a Nepali specialty of steamed chicken momos dunked in curry-flavored gravy, was the standout. The portion was generous (8–10 good-sized dumplings) served in a warm, flavorful soup-like curry. It was hearty, filling, and incredibly comforting—especially perfect for a chilly day or when you’re feeling under the weather. The chicken curry with rice was also quite good. The curry itself was flavorful, but the ratio felt a bit off—there was a lot more rice than chicken. Still, the portion overall was more than enough for a single meal. Overall, I was impressed with the food, especially the momo. I’d definitely order them again and would love to try other varieties from this place. Highly recommended.
Surprisingly tasty for a small deli. I didn't get much just samosa and samosa chaat. Both were tasty. Infact these are the biggest and tastiest samosa I ate so far in entire Brooklyn/Queens.
A gem. This place kept me sane during COVID lockdown and their food is incredible. The paratha egg and cheese should famous throughout New York. So happy they added food. Nothing but eternal love for Mount Everest Deli & Grocery.
Issa vibe! Tried the Veggie Jhol for the first time and it was excellent. Their eat-in counter space was the cherry on top for me, as it is cozy and communal. Service was friendly and there is a restroom for customers.
Really unfortunate that I have to do this but me and my wife loved this place and the food is great but I feel responsible for people’s health and safety to write this review. 2 days ago we went to grab our lunch and we saw two baby (almost adult) roaches roaming around in front of us and around the counter and with that I’m assuming this place is infested and I hope they resolve this issue asap before they lose more customers.
