EXCLUSIVE! The produce display was out of this world. All the greens were perky and puffy. Vibrant and not smashed or flattened. Incredible way to display kale and cilantro! I have never seen such care in a produce display. Well, as nice as the displays look, the prices are just as outrageous. So I would say as scrumptious as the pizza slices look, I just don’t think I can bring myself to try them more than once. Smoothies are wonderful, but at $20 a pop I’m just not sure they’re worth more than a try. Restrooms are clean and modern.

Everything looks great but the hot food section and the smoothies are my favorite parts. Extremely expensive for no good reasons. My take, this should be the bare minimum standard for every supermarket.

I've been going to Erewhon for about 35 years, well before it was the in-place to be. Yes it's pricey, but there are so many things here that no one else has. The kale chips are the best and I love the vegan bread they make. The raw-vegan desserts are another reason why I come here.

This review is for their pizza, chocolate chip cookies, and the hot bar. I LOVE the Spicy Capicola pizza, it's so good and price is reasonable. It's one giant slice (equivalent to 2 normal slices) for $8.75. The dough is chewy and the ingredients are fresh. Their Madchip cookies is one of the best tasting chocolate chip cookies I've ever had. $18 for a dozen might seem ridiculous at first, but cookies nowadays sell for around $5-6 a piece at a coffee shop. 3 of the Madchip cookies is probably the size of a regular coffee shop gourmet cookie, which is equivalent to $4.5. Not a bad deal for an EXCELLENT organic cookie! I've tried a few items from their food bar, and my favorites are Kale w/ White Beans Salad and Raw Black Pepper Kelp Noodle. Both are light and refreshing with a very balanced flavor. Favorite drink so far is Jing City. So expensive but I love the earthy flavor. And it has expensive ingredients like Shilajit in it. I love how clean and organized the market is. It is expensive, but I think some items are worth it, you can really taste the quality.

They really have high quality organic items but the price is high. Got the smoothie for $19 but it was delicious! Was it worth $19 delicious? You have to be the judge. I like how all the bakery has all organic ingredients which is hard to find. To make something with all ingredients and put them in a glass jar will be expensive but if it's important to you then it's fair.

I only go to Erewhon for the hot bar, not a lot of other places for immediate, super healthy, delicious food. I never do grocery shopping here due to pricing but the hot bar rules, try the miso Black Cod, it brought a tear to my eyes it’s so good. Also the staff is very kind, I observe people being difficult/demanding with them and they always respond in a calm manner (shout out Alex!) So far, I haven’t found a better hot bar and I’ve tried em’ all.

With this review- please don’t get confused with my rating and consistent experience with eating raw seafood from this natural grocery store. Store is always neat, staff friendly and selections in all category carefully handpicked- natural and of great quality…hence you wouldn’t find your most of your regular grocery items here. Salads and cooked meals look and taste fresh always….but I’ve always had a reaction to their sushi or raw fish items. I noticed I reacted so badly to their prepackaged sushi and almost landed in the ER the first time I bought sushi here and ate it…but had some few other items from another store. So I wasn’t sure. Then it happened 2 more times and I stopped. And decided to only buy directly from the kitchen- and I’ve had same reactions but not as worse. I decided to speak to a manager and the chef today because I never have such reactions to sushi anywhere else including in Pasadena, CA. As we brainstormed, we just couldn’t figure out why- seafood is wild-caught and prepared fresh and definitely does. The refrigerated ones and the kitchen prepared ones are from 2 different vendors…so just can’t figure it out yet…will post an update if I do. But for now…will only eat the cooked meals here… Deserves a 5/5… Overall- great store with unique selections…
