Crossroads Specialty Foods

We have been coming here for more than two decades and it has always had a great range of imported foods. They changed ownership several years ago, have done extensive remodeling, added more products and it is still our go to store for favorite hard to items. There is a wide range of food and beverages from Eastern Europe, the Mediterranean and elsewhere. Prices are reasonable and service is always friendly.

I would call Crossroads a hidden gem because because driving by on San Antonio Rd., or even into the parking lot, you would never realize the amazing quality, selection, and presentation of foods they offer. I've been driving by here for more years than I want to admit, and finally went in and was surprised and delighted by all the specialty foods and astounding selection that they offer. I think to really appreciate their amazing products, I would need some sort of docent to guide me through the store. It is so full of foods from eastern Europe, and even Middle Eastern foods, that I either barely recognize or had no idea existed. The variety is astounding. I'm so glad to have an option like this so close to home.

Always an adventure to shop at Crossroads. A great place to come for Eastern European and Mediterranean foods or to just to try something you’ve never had before. In the mood for tarragon soda or Siberian pelemini? Great spices, candies and pastries too.

I am looking for German cookies,Lebkuchen. Trader Joe's is sold out. They don't have them here either but have other similar cookies. Clean nice place. Will come again close to Russian store, Samovar. Parking was easy and to find.

My husband stopped by the store yesterday for first time. He bought a farmers cheese. Package was sealed and had expiration date 04/05/23. Today is March 21st. We opened packages and saw the mold! Pictures attached. How it is possible that sealed product which will be expired only in 2 weeks has mold? I would not recommend to shop there.

This grocery store has many foods that are not available in regular shops like Trader Joe, Safeway and others. For example they have caviar, herring fish, etc. There is a great assortment of foods that Russians love: tea, smoked salmon, butter, pasta, chese, vine and many more. Cashiers are polite and friendly (they don't speak Russian language).

I've been shopping here for many years. Wonderful selection of Eastern European and Middle Eastern products.
