Dong Phuong Bakery

Food is much better than I remembered a decade ago. I always liked their baked goods but here I am and enjoying everything. The shaken beef is a little sweet/tangy but still great. The spring roll was good so 4 star. The pho soup is soulful and tasty, an easy 5 star. Bang mi is great. Excellent bread, 5 star. Cold cut and the shrimp patty are 4 star. Egg tart is 4.5 star so rounded up to a 5 star. The pandan cake is soft and flavorful, 5 star — not too sweet but sweet enough by Asian standards, perfect. Cafe su da is a good 4 star. Overall for the experience and food, an easy 5 star.

Dong Phuong Bakery - this was our first time getting a king cake from Dong Phuong. It quickly became our favorite king cake we had all year. And even though I am two hours away, I'm making it a point to grab another one this year.

You don’t know how good the pies were, the softness buttery texture splitting it apart was truly golden. There were no signs of struggle of the buttery crust, embellished with the sweet yet savory tender pork. Every bite made me weightless. Reminiscing now about the meat pies. Oh yeah good service too.

Great VN comfort foods, pho, com thit, bun are all on 5he menu. Big portions, reasonable prices. Banh mi and bakery shop is connected. Same owner. Awesome foods and great prices also. We bought a bunch of stuff fit take home to Houston. Bummed that we couldn't get on their famous King cake waitlist in time. Do yourself a favor and break away from the FQ to get this foods! As a VN, this is my goto when I'm in NOLA. Highly recommend.

Found this place on our way to a birding spot. We couldn't resist so we stopped. I'm so glad we did! They have some awesome baked goods and food here! We got some Pate Chaute (Pork buns) and I got the Chinese BBQ pork sandwich. The pork buns were so good! Great flavor and the bread had a good texture. The Chinese BBQ pork sandwich was very good! The sauce on it was good, and the pork itself is good and generously portioned. And for $6.50 for that sandwich, you can't beat it!

We couldn’t have been happier with our wedding king cake! It was absolutely beautiful and just as delicious. The team created exactly what we envisioned and our guests were impressed. Highly recommend for any special occasion!

Home away from home. Pho broth was perfect. Pastry and fresh bread was amazing.
