I’ve been going to this store for years. I first started going with my mom to help her out. Since she’s passed I’ve been going by myself. I can honestly say the difference of courtesy and kindness and respect is totally different. There are some nice people here and there are some MEAAN people. I’m not going to name names. I’m just going to continue being my respectful and kind self until I get to the point when I need to tell them about themselves but if that happens I’m going to end up being the bad guy. For example, I won some lottery money and went to the service desk to cash out. The lady was counting my money and was $100 short and I said $100 which was what was short and she angrily said I GOT THIS! Well apparently you don’t since you just counted and recounted the money 3 times. It’s just the snotty attitude that some people feel that they are entitled to give. This is a minor example of some of the meanness I’ve encountered here. Have a great day 🙏🏽

I want to love this store because it’s right by my house, but there a couple of big issues that prevent me from making them my go-to. First with the positives: I recently got into chili making and this store has all of the peppers I need, which seems shocking as PNS and Festival don’t carry half of them. Meat looks reasonably fresh and most days their produce doesn’t look bad. Occasionally they have some good deals, such as this week’s $0.99 dozen large eggs. For the negatives: Store is showing its age and could use a refresh. It’s like stepping back into the late 90s, early 2000s. I went to the store last night and 90% of the tomatoes were rotten. They weren’t starting to turn, they had mold all over them. I wish the self checkout was regulated more so that people incapable of using technology or people with full carts can’t be allowed as the queues can get quite long. This is, by far, the most expensive store I shop at which is why I only go there for specialty items or last minute items. I’m easily paying 20-30% more than the other stores. The rewards seem to be useless because 20,000 points to save $10 is crazy. Doing the math, you would have to spend around $1,900 to get $10 off. It’s hard to compete with PNS when I get significant reductions on gas (over $1/gallon off regularly), $10 off $75 coupons regularly and just a rewards system where I feel like I’m getting value.

Nice to have a small grocery store in the neighborhood, and love the merch. Only issue I have is that the prices feel a bit marked up on a lot of items.

The grocery store left a neutral impression. The selection is standard, with all the essentials. Prices are high for the city. The layout is basic, and finding the items I needed was easy. I checked the freshness of the ingredients, and everything seemed fine. The staff is polite, but not particularly proactive.

Great store to pop in & out! Employees & staff are nice. They also have a brunch for veterans once a week.

Best place to get snacks, has everything I need, kind staff, didn't get mad when me and 12 of my friends were shopping and being found, its cheap. And its close to my house

Why are the prices at Piggly Wiggly so high. We stopped at the Woodman's in Kenosha to check out their prices and they are much better than the Pig and the other two food stores in Racine (Pick 'n Save and Festival Foods). We were told by an employee at Woodman's that Piggly Wiggly is angry at Woodman's because they won't raise their prices to match Piggly Wiggly's prices. Why doesn't Piggly Wiggly lower their prices to match Woodman's prices? (As the other two stores might want to do) We only shop sale items from what we see on the flyers from these stores and Piggly Wiggly is about as high as Festival Foods and Pic n Save isn't much better. ALL these chain's basically have the same products so why are the prices so varied from one chain to another? We wonder if they are concerned about the customers they might lose when Woodman's opens in Racine and they are jacking up their prices to make up for their potential loss in the near future.
