Superior Grocers

I haven’t been here in ages but today I was in the area of Montebello so I decided to stop at superior for some items I needed for dinner. I couldn’t seem to find what I was looking for so I asked this gentleman that was working in the produce dept. If he could assist me. He was packing some produce but dropped what he was doing to help me. He said that the item I was looking for was in the back but he’d be more than happy to help me. I was appreciative that he took his time to help me out. He asked if there was anything else I needed. I told him yes. He proceeded to walk me to the aisle where I could find my items. I thanked him for his service. I appreciated his professionalism and patience. Thank you Eddie from produce department for all your help!! I think he was the manager because he surely behaved like one!!

I have been shopping there for nearly ten years and leave a good sum of money there.. I shouldn't have to be made fun of and insulted by the employees there.. Nov 7. Night crew Alonzo the guy who stocks the milk box to go out of his way to insult me along with s few of his other coworkers.. apparently these people have issues and this must be brought to the attention of their supervisors 👈

I’m giving this market a three star because this is the second time I buy something to eat there and it’s expired. Last time I bought the red enchiladas and the chicken was bad it was slimy chicken and it smells horrendous, so I blame myself for not checking the date It was expired for that day. So I’m thinking it’s still good because it’s still in the market for display for us purchase. Today’s incident the strawberry had mold I bought other items there hopefully all is well. Supervisors really need to be on top of the dates and what they’re selling to the consumers. Very nice and clean place. So sad I love the pastries, but this is the second. I hope you guys fix this problem because I really love your store.

Baker girl was rude, and kept ignoring me when trying to order a cake. She kept going into the fridge to vape. That’s disgusting she came out coughing. Didn’t see a name tag but my receipt said Samantha. This isn’t the first time either. I did record so the health department will be seeing this

Leaving cut fruit on a rack without anything to keep it cold is all I need to see to know this is a terrible place to shop.

The staff here are super unprofessional and rude... I can hear them laughing and talking about different customers in the store while I was in the restroom.. i dont think they realized their voices echoed pretty loud in that hallway.. especially being that one of them was a pretty obnoxious gay guy (i am a lesbian, so there is no prejudice) and then the one of them dares the other to take my cart and put my stuff back thinking it would be a funny prank.. and so they did not sure which one but I know they were talking about my cart as they were listing the items in the cart out loud.. this isn't the first time I have dealt with some rudeness in that store. And then I go to try and speak to a manger about the incident but then I see the gay one and one of the girls talking to him and giggling looking my direction as I carried half the things I planned on buying.. Soni didnt bother.. so if your in the area go to the pico Rivera location its only about 5min further down Whittier and there's an in n out right there too!
