I seen a review a while back talking about it being in the middle of the ghetto, thugs outside ready to rob you and it being trash everywhere. Lies from racist!! I checked them out and they clearly never been in a ghetto. Nice store, I find so many items there I can't find anywhere! Pretty organized. I wish they still sold their fresh eggrolls, I traveled across town to get some. I don't care for the meat but everything else, I get.
Bought chicken livers and chicken hearts to feed my cats and within 12 hours they both had diarrhea all over the house. They’ve been eating raw meat/organs for some time now. Not normal for them. Wasn’t until after they got sick I read reviews, and looks like I’m not the first to notice their awful food handling quality. Would not recommend buying anything in the refrigerator/freezer section for your own health safety, as well as your pets.
It’s ok. Very clean. Cashier was a young lady and was well mannered. Idk if it’s just me but if your a certain color you will get a lot of weird stares.
If you’re looking for an Asian market this is it. It has a lot of variety of Asian cuisine ingredients of Hmong, Thai, Laotian, and Korean variety. I can usually do my shopping all in sitting at this store compared to the other smaller Asian markets. Now here are some things to consider when coming to shop at this store especially if you’re non-Asian. 1. Parking is decent but if you go at its peak (weekend) its a bit of a walk especially since there’s only one entrance and exit (same). 2. It’s conjoined next to Hmong Town which isn’t part of the grocery market but for other Asian items you may need to buy (household, eatery inside, medicine, jewelry/clothes, and etc. 3. Not all employees speak good English if even at all besides the owner. 4. Double check your meat if you’re buying to make sure it’s not expired or funky smelling/looking. 5. Usually only 1 check out line so the line wait can be long especially at peak. 6. Store is usually cold especially during winter time so be sure to be bundled inside also. I’ve never had an issue while shopping here. You’ll encounter you’re usually homeless people that begs for money at the corner or near the store. But overall if you’re looking for a good variety of Asian cuisine ingredients or foods for a good price this is it.
I had very high hopes for this place but it has gone downhill ever since its grand opening. Fresh produce? Hit and miss but I've seen veggies with mold just about every time I go! Fresh meat? Prices are actually pretty good but you better use it same day as purchased! Be careful even with packaged goods! Many expired/over dued products! And that's just with stuff i had bought and noticed! Last but not least, rarely was there a time when more than 1 checkout lane was opened even when there was a long line! Very disappointed but I admit i keep going back only because it's closest Asian "super market" near me.
The Hmong deli inside are good but the store itself and the customer services are a whole different story. The owner charge me twice on a transaction and won't refund it after numerous meeting with the owner. I end up having to deal with my bank instead. Not recommend.
The place looks like a grocery store that has shown it's age. Catering mostly to Asian foods, this place has a rather gloomy atmosphere and perhaps because of its lighting. The flooring needs to be updates and the produce items are sometimes not fresh. If one has no choice and lives nearby but has to run and get something as part of their ingredients then this might have to do. Still, there are some things that might not be available. I haven't had a bad experience with the workers during the very few times that I have been here (again, when I had no choice but to get some Asian ingredients), but I'm just being honest about how I see the store as it is. I only rated a dislike because it think that it could be better if it were to improve on its looks, produce, and other store features.
