Seafood City Supermarket Milpitas

Seafood City offers a great variety of food and products, especially if you’re looking for fresh seafood and Filipino groceries. The selection is impressive, and I enjoy having so many options in one place—from produce to hot food and snacks. However, I did have a disappointing experience with one particular server who was rude and not very welcoming, which took away from an otherwise good visit. Customer service is important, and I hope this is addressed in the future. Overall, it’s still a good place to shop because of the wide selection and quality of items, but better consistency in customer service would make the experience even better.

I arrived at 7:45 PM since Seafood City closes at 9 PM, but all the chairs were already stacked on the tables, clearly signaling that customers were no longer welcome to dine in. It felt like the staff was already preparing to leave early. This was disappointing and unprofessional—closing hours should be respected.

This review is specifically for the Grill City kiosk inside Seafood City market. Wonderful place for cooked Filipino grub. Come an hour or so after they open to get grilled fish because they usually cook the meat skewers first. But they have all the goodies, both grilled and fried. Just look at the pictures.

I was pleasantly surprised at first when I saw that they had a bakery section inside the grocery store next to the City Grill area. They have an assortment of cakes, and I really wanted to try the Calamansi Key Lime Cake thing but I noticed that they all had gone moldy 🤢 I think quality check is a must. I dont think they could guarantee freshness and quality at the moment.

I had an unpleasant experience and will not return due to the store's policy regarding phone use. While I was checking recipes on my phone, an associate approached me and accused me of taking photos, claiming they had seen me doing so on CCTV. I didn't take any photos, and being surveilled for simply holding my phone made me feel very uncomfortable. The atmosphere felt unwelcoming, and it is frustrating to be treated with such suspicion while shopping. I recommend being careful if you need to use your phone here.

There is a Grill City inside Seafood City Supermarket selling Filipino barbecue and other Filipino food. We tried out their value meal #6 (a whole grilled squid + classic entrée), as well as their port and chicken barbecue, which you could get one free if you buy four. They all tasted pretty good. And there are many tables to dine in there.

All the legit Filipino/Asian groceries that you could possibly need, with strong emphasis on Filipino goods. Large section of fresh produce, meats, and seafood, along with a bunch of Filipino goodies you won't normally find at other supermarkets. Overall awesome place with fairly low prices.
