Great spot of your looking for Japanese and/or Korean products. There is a decent amount of frozen goods from brands like bibigo. Some produce, but not much. Lots of cute dishes if that's what you're looking for.

I’ve had a disappointing experience at this store. The items are VERY OVERPRICED, unless you need something urgently, I recommend ordering through WEEE. Additionally, many products on the shelves are expired, so be sure to check the dates before purchasing. The owner lady is also extremely rude and unprofessional. Whenever you ask a question, she responds with immediate sarcasm and cynicism, and becoming offended for no reason. Her behavior is not only dismissive but also insulting. What makes it worse is that she seems to treat fellow Koreans in particular with unnecessary hostility, which I found very strange. It must be some kind of insecurity issue. I’m usually very friendly and nice to others. I always say "hello," "thank you," and "goodbye," but she completely ignored me to my face. That says a lot about this person, tbh. Overall, I would not recommend supporting this store, especially with the way customers are treated. There are better options out there, so I’d suggest avoiding it. Especially if you are Korean. I feel bad for other people who have no idea how much this store is ripping them off. RIP.

Good selection of Japanese products. Priced pretty high and weird policy about paying with cash for orders less than $10. Too bad! Because it seems pretty clean and well kept.

We’re regulars. Idk why a review said "poor selection" but you can get like… everything here. My favs are the tamari soy sauce, tomago, and Korean corn dogs. Also the owner- nicest woman you’ll ever meet. So kind.

Since I have moved from Boston, I have been looking for good Asian Market and I found out Lee's Oriental. This store is the best Oriental store with high quality products and clean atmosphere! This market sells the best brands with reasonable price. In addition, this place does not have strong unpleasant odors unlike some other Asian markets do. Furthermore, the customer service is great as the manager there is sweet and even helped me out on instructions and ingredients listed on products. So, I love to go to this store and look forward to buy high quality groceries anytime! Especially, their cash register is so convenient!

This is a tiny market you would never shop otherwise but have to since there are not many options for oriental markets in Madison, WI. Floor is sticky, shelves are dusty, and selection is poor. Markups are outrageous and plus, the owner is rude and unfriendly. Similar to what others have said, look at the expiration dates carefully before you purchase. They don't apologize for their mistakes and don't even know what customer service is. To sum it short, I'd rather throw my money down the drain than spend a dime at this establishment.

Edit: 4 to 5 stars Since my review two years ago, I've been to Lee's plenty of times and the reason I've added the 5th star and keep coming back is due to the QUALITY of the ingredients here. Especially for Korean food, Lee's absolutely has the best options for all your staples and more (trust me, that snack aisle is dangerous!). I often still stop elsewhere for groceries (read: greens), but I get all my kimchi, soon tofu, doenjang/gochujang, kelp, etc. here. The woman who runs the shop is wonderful as well! Always glad to stop in. . . . Okay this place isn't bad, and if you're looking for Korean ingredients specifically this is a better bet than other Asian stores. However if you're looking for Asian groceries go somewhere else. The staff was helpful when I was looking for some ingredients since I didn't know what it looked like. Overall can't complain, especially when it has what you need.
