Rancho San Miguel Markets

The meat dept has horrible customer service. I was there on Sunday st 9:40 am, the guy (light skinned & light eyes. I believe his name was Pablo) that I talked to was very passive aggressive. My Spanish is a little choppy, and I asked for short ribs with less fat, but in Spanish I said no fat (I used the wrong word). That triggered him and he said all meat has fat, and proceeded to pick up meats and say, this has fat, this has fat etc. No kidding I know all meat has fat. Besides short ribs, I wanted some meat marked "beef stew", he told me that's not for caldo. I pointed to it, and said it says "beef stew". If he thinks it's the wrong meat what does he care, he was not paying for it! Keep in mind it's labled beef stew. Haha Worst customer service I ever received in this meat department in my 30 years of making caldo. What a joke he was. I will never go back to this so called meat dept. I've been there before, and all the other gentlemen have always been cordial, except Pablo. Never Again!

Clean, lots of parking, well-lit indoors. There are many signs with Español and English. Their chicken tamales; however, drrrrrry. Chicken is shredded with some flavoring. The masa is a little bit grainy.

Ok, this is irritating. I bought Salsa and chicken salad, had to pay there. Bought carnitas and beans had to pay there ( they changed for my beans and forgot) I bought bolios, tortillas and plates had to pay at the front register It is so ridiculous!!! Who ever runs this place that I had to go to 3 different registers !!!! For Father’s Day… spoiler

Today I went her and ordered a Super Asada burrito on my lunch hour. This was the worst burrito I have ever had. The asada was fatty, rubbery, over cooked,tuff burnt meat. I will advise all my DMV coworker of this horrible experience. And to not go there.

Young ladies are the worse cashiers by far taking their time waiting on an item. For 10 min. Finally left my stuff and walked out. Does not a good system to keep customers. No coming back

This is more than just a plain grocery store. They have a salsa bar, a deli with excellent burritos, a bakery with delicious cakes as well as one of the largest meat counters I've seen in a long time. Produce here is of excellent quality and great selection including things I've never seen in a normal store. Nice selection of Mexican groceries and meats.

Breakfast burritos are awesome here. Beef stew for breakfast was great.
